“What a surprise.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

Booked this hotel for a week long trip to Colorado Springs and we couldn't have picked a better place. Well worth the price and the breakfast is great. Honestly some of the best customer service I've ever received at hotel. The staff is very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, prompt, and really made the stay such a treat. There is only thing that I can see being a con to someone is that the wing we stayed in had no elevator. It really didn't bother us because we don't mind walking and travel light, plus that wing is only 2 levels anyway. Now they do have elevators in other wings so if that is an issue for you then bring it up during reservations. Other than really a great hotel and probably the best I've stayed at in the area for the price. Don't miss out on sitting next to the fireplace in the lounge, it's pretty relaxing.

The indoor pool was a real hit with our grandchildren and lots of other children their age. They spent as much time as possible in the pool. The happy hour snacks were great bargains and we all enjoyed them, especially the chicken fingers and nachos. The hotel staff was very friendly and courteous, they really were customer centered. Rooms are well-maintained and very clean. It was a fantstic treat for our grand kids.

Room Tip: We were on the 3rd floor near the corridor that leads to the pool. That way the grandkids could tr...

My hubby & I stay here quite often now. Usually we get a suite because they have the Healthcare mattresses in there and I NEVER wake up sore like i do at home or anywhere else. The only times we stay in the regular rooms is when we do not wish to travel home in bad weather, and those rooms are pretty comfy too. You get $10 towards your dinner there plus a free breakfast the next morning. And i do mean breakfast, Someone cooks your omelette/scrambled eggs there for you, french toast, waffles, fruits you name it. They have a 3 table spread plus a whole drink bar too. And you can get a to go box and take it back to your room if you'd prefer to eat it up there. The indoor pool is pretty decent size, they have a pool table in their bar area, and they have a fireplace with a lot of lazy boys around it for you to hang out and have a drink. The staff have always been really sweet to us. I have been to places that cost twice or 3 times as much and the way i am treated here is the same as those places. I highly recommend this place.

Room Tip: There is another hotel to the back so if you ask for a mountain view make sure you ask for either t...

We have stayed here three times now, each time for 4 or more days. The rooms are really nice, with good beds, couches and desks. It seems to be very clean. Bathrooms are small, but everything works! The breakfast is just fantastic, worlds above every other place we've been in this price range. A couple of things could be improved. The heating on the upper floors is so warm that we had to use the air at night and it sure would be nice to have an elevator on both sides of the tower, as that walk back and forth can get old! The staff are always very helpful, at the desk as well as in the restaurant. Also, the place if beautiful!

Room Tip: Third and fourth floor rooms can have a great view of Pikes Peak if you ask for that side of the bui...

It was an outstanding hotel. The dinner was great but the server was not friendly. The breakfast was outstanding food and service. I disagree with charging an additional $75 dollars from our card we were not aware of it and caused us to not be able to do a few things with our trip. If people order room service or movies then have their card on file to charge not pre charge for people who don't even use that. I was not happy about that and that would be a reason we wouldn't come back. Otherwise the hotel was great and cheap.

We loved our stay here great rooms, nice price. The evening crew was very nice giving recomendations for dinner and things to do in the area. The morning crew was not as helpful, the night crew should work with you. Breakfast was very nice . Loved all the plants in the loby what a nice place to sit and relax.

This hotel was an excellent find, a pleasant surpris and a tremendous value! Very clean well appointed spacious rooms, great ammenities. Outstanding hot breakfast in the morning. The lobby area is large with comfortable couches around a large fireplace, rock gardens with water falls, warm soft lighting, very nice to relax and read, as well as workout/gym facilities close at hand. The hotel restaurant is convenient, very reasonable prices, good food, and good variety. The entire staff was very friendly, accomodating and professional. I would definitely stay here again, and I highly recommend it!
