“Spring Break 2014”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2014

The staff at this Drury were great, very friendly, breakfasts were good, and snack time was great! The swimming pool was just right size for my 5 year olds. It needed some attention on Saturday night but otherwise was great.

Room Tip: We stayed on bottom floor close to the pool and it was great.

This hotel is clean, rooms nicely appointed and the staff go out of their way to help you.
I agree with Alex E the pot holes in Denny's parking lot are terrible, so beware. (They are
more like "sink holes" and can do damage to your car.

Room Tip: Try to stay away from "pet rooms", unless you are traveling with a pet. Dogs in room next...

It's everything you'd expect from Drury. Good food, good room, good service. The property is older and the first floor smells like chlorine, so ask for something not on that floor.

Side Note: Beware of the potholes in the parking lots around the hotel, especially the ones in the Denny's parking lot. Drury's lot is fine, though.

Thank you for staying with us, and for taking the time to tell other travelers about all we offer. I am happy that we were able to provide you with a good room, good food, and good service. We are an older property, but I am excited to tell you that Drury is looking to break ground on a brand new property just north of us very soon!

I apologize about the bromine smell on the first floor, and I am glad we were able to accommodate you on higher floor. Our pool is heated and sits half indoor and half outdoor, so the door is directly connected to the interior of the hotel. Luckily, we have very few rooms in the direct area of the pool, and these are often requested for convenience.

I have been in contact with Denny's about their parking lot, and hope to see some improvement soon. With our varying weather, I know that it is a frequently revisited maintenance concern throughout the city. I am glad you found ease in our direct parking lot.

Thank you for being a loyal Drury guest, and we look forward to serving you again!

This is a hidden gem. Its has simple rooms but very comfortable beds! It was cheaper or the same price as others right next to it. But wait! When you check in you get a happy hour card with 3 free cocktails but what they don't tell you is that there's snacks galore during happy hour! There were lots of kids enjoying the free (dinner) and adults too. You could definitlely make dinner out of hot dogs, chili, macaroni & cheese. Stuff to make nachos, all kinds of stuff. We were tempted to save money and eat the free food but we wanted a bit fancier dinner so we just had our cocktails. In my opinion if you have children this is perfect! The breakfast was biscuts/gravy eggs , you know the usual but it was also free.! Our room was $69 and it was clean quiet and very dreamy bed! Well worth it!

Stayed at this property with a vollleyball team for a overnight tournament; we were able to negotiate a team rate and saved about 30% off the rack rate.

The rooms were very clean, the beds comfortable and the linens a nice european style. I checked both for bed bugs and the mattresses were spotless and clean! Great night of sleep. The bathroom was fine, although the actual toilet/tub/shower area was tiny! The shower comes with a dispenser of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel - a nice perk! Clean, clean, clean. Very nice.

The front desk staff were helpful and very friendly. Free happy hour in the evening and a nice breakfast assortment in the morning.

Good option, just off of I-25 in the north end of Co Springs.

Room Tip: Avoid the 1st floor and pick a room away from the busy elevators!

Actual visit: November 2009 I stayed at this hotel for a week when first arriving to Colorado Springs. I chose it (not realizing it was on the opposite end of Academy) because of the reasonable price, included breakfast and the typical amenities as all other hotels, and was close to restaurants and shopping. The stay here was very comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was better than I'd expected. If the distance is not an issue as far as being close to where you need to be then I would recommend this place to others. I hope it's maintained; I'll be looking to stay there agagin soon.

Free Happy Hour and snacks in the evening and excellent breakfast. We had an opportunity to stay at the Drury Inn in Phoenix AZ and found the same quality and hospitality. Staff was great and price was minimal and before I forget, FREE Internet!
