For the price I got on [---------](under $35/night), this hotel was fine. The front desk employees were pleasant. The room was clean, comfortable and average sized. I stayed for 5 nights, and they put me in a room with a microwave and small fridge, both clean and worked great. I didn't have breakfast there, but it looked good with self-made waffles.
CONS:
Be careful in the shower. The water pressure was great, but the temperature would not remain constant for more than a few seconds. From warm to EXTREMELY hot, to cold throughout.
My room had adjoining rooms and I could hear their TVs clearly from my room even though they weren't turned up very loud. Fortunately, my neighbors were early to bed, so overall, the stay was quiet.
TV reception is so-so, and channels are limited. But who wants to stay inside and watch TV much when there's beautiful Colorado Springs to explore and enjoy?
In room "free" wireless internet was non-existant. The hotel manager had a maintenance guy reset the router, but it still didn't work. But who wants to stay inside and surf the net when there's beautiful Colorado Springs to explore and enjoy? There is a PC in a small office by the lobby with a good internet connection that's available free of charge. This worked great to check the weather, ski conditions, and avalanche forecasts!
PROS:
Clean, comfortable room. Housekeeping was fine.
Location is great... just minutes from UCCS, Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, I-25 and more.
Price... $44/night if you walkin. I got my room for UNDER $35/night thru priceline (2 star).
INSIDER TIP: Ask for a room in the 1 story front building; they're the nicer rooms.
Enjoy your stay!
