“Great B&B. ... Wonderful staff!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2014

One of the best B&Bs. I will be back for sure. Check out the hot tub room !!! The staff and the service was great. Walking distance to historic downtown area. With great restaurants. Wonderful views of the Rockies!!

Room Tip: Some have private hot tubs !!!!

If you are going to be in Colorado Springs, you HAVE to stay here. This was the first time staying in a B&B for both my boyfriend and I and we are so glad we did. The view was great, Don and Shirley were more than accommodating and their recommendations were perfect. We will absolutely be staying here again!

Room Tip: The Oriental Poppy has a great view of Pikes Peak, along with a little piece of Garden of the Gods...

It felt like staying with family (at least those you get along with). I looked forward to a delightful breakfast every morning, and a relaxing glass of wine in the evening. A pleasant place to stay away from the busy traffic, near quaint shops and great restaurants.

Thanks Ed! We appreciate the review and the nice things you had to say. We'll work on the areas that didn't quite measure up as well. Hope to see you again - good luck on the move.

Everything you could ask for in a convenient location. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast quiche was excellent. I plan to return whenever possible.

We celebrated our 10th anniversary at the Old Town GuestHouse, near Manitou Springs (Old Town Colorado Springs). They really made our stay special from the chocolates to the personal note left in our room!! We stayed in the African Orchid room on the 3rd level. We enjoyed the cozy hottub for 2 on the very private deck and kept warm by the romantic fireplace. On the second floor just off of the stairs is an area where they keep a supply of items such as aspirin, sunscreen, and personal care of all kinds!! This is a very personal touch and makes the place just like home!!! We arrived a bit late and missed the evening cocktail hour, but it sounds like a lot of fun! The house is very charming and easy walking distance to local shops and restaurants. We also enjoyed walking the town of Manitou Springs, a short drive away. The gourmet breakfast served by Don was AMAZING and we couldn't leave without purchasing a couple branded coffee mugs for a keepsake!! Best anniversary EVER!! Thanks Don and Shirley!!

It was our pleasure to be a part of your anniversary celebration. We continually strive to be the perfect place (not possible) and attention to the details seems to be the key. The problem is the sheer number of details. We're happy that we hit the mark with your stay and hope to see you back with us the next time you need to get away.

Don and Shirley are wonderful hosts and my wife and I particularly enjoyed our afternoon visits over complimentary wine and beer. Breakfast was fantastic as well. The B&B is well situated for easy access to Pikes Peak and the surrounding attractions. A great place to stay!

Thanks for taking time to leave a review. We love to hear what folks think about our Inn and our hospitality.
Thanks too for the candid marks on the review. We LOVE our water beds but know that others feel differently (there's no perfect answer to sleep preferences). We rethink this and other decisions constantly and we need the input. Cleanliness, on the other hand is pretty universal, sorry we were not up to par. We'll review practices with the staff to bring that mark back up.
Thanks, again!

We just returned from a wonderful weekend at the Old Town GuestHouse. We were greeted and treated like friends from the moment of our arrival. We stayed in the Oriental Poppy room and enjoyed the comfortable bed and fireplace. The GuestHouse is walking distance from many excellent locally owned restaurants, shops, and galleries, plus you are only minutes away from the beautiy of the Garden of the Gods. The breakfast and happy hour (complete with local microbrews) was delicious and the company was enjoyable. Don and Shirley are the wonderful owners who take great pride in their family, establishment, community, and guests. We are looking forward to returning to try out the other rooms.

Thanks, Todd. Our goal is to provide a friendly, comfortable place for folks to relax and get away from the stresses of their everyday lives. It's nice to hear that we hit the mark. Of course, we enjoy a good glass of wine with our guests so It's a win-win.
We look forward to building our friendship the next time you're in the area.
