“Great Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

We come into town for a sporting activity. The hotel was gracious and set breakfast up earlier than normally scheduled for us.

Breakfast had a nice selection of items and the food was good.

The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable.

The front desk staff was very helpful. The location was convenient to the airport and also not too bad to sightsee too.

I would recommend this for sporting groups and families. Internet was fast and the business center had good printers too if needed.

The only drawback was that the walls were thin and we could hear kids running through the halls. That was not the hotel's fault however.

This was a typical business trip made much better by the unusually helpful and friendly front desk, bar and restaurant staff. Even the chef came out to check on the food and was friendly. The location is very convenient in Colorado Springs regardless of whether you are using the airport or not. I will definitely be back on my next trip.

The new Hilton Garden Inn at Colorado Springs Airport grabbed our attention because its room rates were surprisingly low (sub $100). And we found it to be a great value for our short weekend stay.

Here’s a link to video of our room:
http://youtu.be/0IGCvGigbZ0

PLUSES
-Complimentary transportation to/from Colorado Springs Airport (COS)
-Near to USAF Academy, Peterson AFB, Fort Carson Army Base, and Schriever AFB
-Indoor pool
-Free cookies at night!
-Great Happy Hour specials in the restaurant
-Refrigerator in room (no extra cost)

MINUSES
-Some rooms have a view of virtually nothing
-Elevators were a bit on the noisy side

ROOM TIP
Some rooms face the mountains, which provides a memorable sunset.

BOTTOM LINE
If you’re heading to the mountains or the USAF Academy (especially graduation), you’ll find this hotel to be convenient, clean, and a good value (well, maybe not a great value during graduation considering rates spike).

Have stayed here three or four times in the last several months; sometimes their park-and-fly deal (only $10 extra for unlimited parking) is within range of what it would cost to park at the airport for 8-10 days. Staff was very friendly; welcomed as a repeat guest. Room was nice, if a shade small. Evening cookies are a nice touch, and unlike some properties, they have enough so that they don't run out quickly. I love HGI breakfasts and really wish they'd start it at 5am instead of 6am. With all the 6am and 6:30-ish flights, it is often impractical to take their shuttle -- which doesn't start until 5am (cutting it much too close for a 6am flight).

I travel often and have stayed in all sorts of wonderful places in 34 countries. My stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, was the most comfortable I have ever felt outside of my own house. The rooms were IMPECCABLY clean and quiet. Everything is new and well taken care of. Well-appointed fixtures and furniture. The service staff were sweet and caring. And the hotel management thought of everything when they designed this hotel. Comfortable rooms with all the amenities, great gym with free weights, really fun family pool, amazing free cooked-to-order breakfast, staff that went above and beyond to make you happy and anticipate your needs. The lobby was so cozy with a fireplace and TV. We actually watched a football game with the family there. The beds were like heavenly clouds. I was there for a week, and was actually sad to go. It was a wonderful resort-like getaway. I would definitely go again, and recommend to anyone either passing through Colorado Springs or just going for a vacation. The free shuttle service from the airport was prompt. Our stay was during the holidays and there were wonderful decorations that made it feel stylishly festive. This is a very high-end hotel and is great value for the price. It's very conducive for business travelers, family, and a couple's getaway as well.

Room Tip: Request a mountain view room. What a beautiful landscape to wake up to. :)

I had a very pleasant stay while in Colorado Springs for business. The front desk staff were always helpful and smiling. It made me feel welcome. The common area was quite nice and welcoming. I found it odd that my room was so warm in the dead of winter. I had to run the AC all three nights to keep it under 74. Odd. The location was handy next tot he airport but a bit remote from resturants. I will return.

The Hilton staff always amazed me and I stay at a lot of Hilton Hotels. The hotel was clean, rooms were quite and the staff was amazing. The food at the hotel was great. The Chef even came out and asked us how our meals were and invited us to dine with them the following night. The bartender staff was great and the cookies were delicious. Another great stay at another Hilton Hotel.

Room Tip: Get a view of the Airport side
