“Modern and delicious fare”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

The server was well acquainted with the menu our entire party of four loved their food. We all loved the crab claws.

“A special place for special occasions”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

The Summit is one of our favorite restaurants in Colorado Springs (in fact, anywhere). Located just across the street from the world-famous Broadmoor Hotel, we love everything about this wonderful restaurant.

Valet parking and an excellent, up scale bar set the scene. The dining room is long and narrow allowing intimate and private discussions over well set tables.

The servers are in a class by themselves ... able to not only describe each dish, but sounding almost like chefs themselves, intricately detailing how each is prepared ... even to being able to tell you the source for each ingredient. Amazing.

The menu has a "favorites" section, of those tried and true and well-loved selections, some that have been on the menu since the Summit opened. Then, there is the always fresh and amazing seasonal selections. Most recently we had a "favorite," the halibut, and a new seasonal, the butternut squash ravioli. Delicious.

The salads and appetizers are uniformly excellent. In fact, we've never had a single dish we didn't love. The sommeliers have been very helpful and have always helped us find a "great value" wine.

The desert menu is small, but every item we've had has been delectable.

We usually average between $30 to $45 per person, including appetizer, entrée, wine, and splitting a desert. Unless something changes, we'll plan to return again and again.

“Lovely, lively”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

The food is quite good as in all of the Broadmoor restaurants but this restaurant has a less subdued atmosphere. If it's very crowded it can be noisier than some of the restaurants on the property. Tables in the middle of the room seem to be very close together.
Reservations needed.

“Great atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2012

Maybe my favorite restaurant at the Broadmoor, but this time the food was only so-so. Great wine list and outstanding service makes the Summit a favorite. I had the Bistro salad and the Halibut and was not impressed. Others had trout and was good. Still a fav and will return.

“5 Star and 5 Diamond”

What else can be said? This hotel, built in 1918, is steeped in history and the views are super. Try the "Golden Bee" to visit an authentic English pub.
