“Quite Acceptable Suite Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2009

I have staed at this hotel about 5 times in the last year.
It is quite near the airport and Peterson AFB and is a convenient place to stay. There is suprisingly little outside noise but some room-to-room noise.
The rooms are typical for a “Suite” hotel having a bedroom section that is separated from a living room/kitchen section. The two sections can not be isolated.
The kitchen contains a refrigerator (no freezer section), a microwave, and a sink. The bathroom area has its toilet and shower in a separate room from the sink. This has advantages and disadvantages. Someone can use the sink while someone else is in the toilet/shower area and the mirror over the sink doesn’t steam up, but the sink area is not isolated from the bedroom area so that use of the sink could disturb someone else sleeping.
The hotel is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and efficient. The breakfast provided is typical: breads, some pastries, waffles, oatmeal and dry cereals.
One advantage of this over other hotels in the area is that it has sidewalks near it so you can jog or walk. The only restaurant within walking distance is in the nearby Ramada Inn.

Although the name includes the word, "suites". It really is not a suite, but a room that has enclaves to fit all this in. It is the size of a regular room. Embassy Suites and Homewood suites are better suited for the business person who is planning an extended stay.

Pros:
-Bed is very comfortable with great sheets and comforter.
-Free continental style breakfast with some hot foods including: oatmeal, waffles, eggs are premade, sausages. All help-yourself-style.
-clean
-Helpful staff
-Additional amenities at the front desk
-Plenty of parking
-Close to Airport

Cons:
-Paper thin walls. Every morning was wakened by slamming doors, vacuum cleaner , screaming kids, man blowing his nose, wake up calls from other rooms. I am a heavy sleeper and I still woke up, but went right back to sleep.
-Do NOT recommend this place to light sleepers or business travelers who need peace and quiet.
-If you are wanting a trues suite, go to Embassy Suites or Homewood Suites. The Homewood Suites is like an apt with a full size refridgerator for those who need extended stays.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Great room and service at a great price. Wish I could have stayed more than one night. All positives, no negatives.

Husband, son (11) and I drove cross-country from Alabama to Colorado Springs. The hotel was so great! Free breakfast in the a.m. was perfect & is wasn't just muffins. Lots to choose from Staff was very helpful. Beds were soooo comfy & enjoyed having the indoor pool & hot tub to relax in after hiking & sighteseeing all day! Very close to everything we wanted to see, restaurants & shoppping...highly recommend!!

Two friends and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The room was immaculate and large enough for each of us to have our own beds. The complimentary breakfast was hot and well stocked. Parking was ample. A small patio at the back of the building provided a table and chairs to enjoy the Colorado sunshine. 5 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes from Garden of the Gods, 30 minutes from the USAFA, 10 minutes from food, shopping, and movies. Great value!

An extremely nice surprise since we booked it online and were not sure what we would get. The service was excellent. Our room was very nice, clean, roomy, and comfortable. Breakfast had a nice variety of things to eat and very satisfying. Location of the hotel was excellent for us since we have a son stationed in Colorado Springs and this was easily accessible to the base and the surrounding attractions. Will definitely stay there again when we are in the area.

This was a perfect hotel for our family of six, ages 15+. Huge rooms, lots of beds, included breakfast, fitness area and pool. Comfortable and quiet, with friendly and responsive service. You could pay a lot more and get a lot less - we certainly have. Although the hotel is a little ways from most tourist destinations, it's easy to get to anywhere in Colo Spgs by car.
