“Great Hiking Trails”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

Excellent place to get away from it all and hike to your heart's content. Multiple trails with different ability levels, clearly marked and well groomed make this a great place to spend time with the family and get some good exercise in.

“climbing, hiking, viewing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2012

Great park, several areas to climb if you register and get a permit at the Garden of the Gods visitor center. The park also is great for hiking, biking, horseback riding, beautiful views, and just a great experience. The park gets crowded in the summer on the Weekend, but weekdays are quiet usually.

“More Colorado Beauty!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2012

Another must see when visiting Colorado. Its beauty is breathtaking and there's several photo ops! Located in Morrison, CO, it's also home to the Red Rocks Ampitheater where outdoor concerts are held with big name acts. Visiting by day or night is a pleasure. We also saw Tom Petty and Johnny Lang there years ago and it was a concert experience I'll never forget.

“Hike, bike”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

If you mountain bike here, please avoid the hikers. It's a busy place, with excellent trails, and dog owners seem to be good about keeping pets on leashes or in the dog park. Views are excellent. Be sure to visit the old quarry - how did they get the huge red blocks out, without modern machinery? Amazing to consider.

“Nice hikes, but sunny”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

We hiked at ~2 pm, and found minimal relief from the sun. The rocks are beautiful, but social trails confused us, and we ended up getting "stuck" on top of some of the rocks. A sudden thunderstorm was starting to blow in, so we had to carefully make our way down a steep incline to avoid the rain (since we had lost the true trail). All-in-all, this was a nice open space area.
