“Beautiful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

Last minute reservation made for this gem. Traveling home through Colorado Springs and booked this on my phone. Easy to find after exit from 25 South. I read that the hotel was updated. It is beautiful. Open layout. The room we stayed in was a Kind bed, large room, and very nice. Friendly reception area and easy access to the downtown area.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for five nights last week, and had absolutely no complaints.
Its location is great for downtown.
The rooms were very good, and there is plenty of parking space in their car park.
As long as you are not wandering about late at night, the area is fine. Saw a few homeless people nearby, but none of them bothered us.
It is also really handy to get onto the highway for Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods etc.
Would highly recommend this hotel for those visiting Colorado Springs.
I would also point out that the desk staff were very helpful and courteous.
All in all, a great start for a new hotel.

Room Tip: We had a suite at the front of the hotel, and it was very quiet.

For an Express, this is a step up. Larger reception area and well appointed lobby. Very friendly staff.
Despite the location next to I-24, the rooms are well soundproofed and even the usual slamming doors at 7am are diminished.
Easy walking distance to downtown and a short drive to Old Colorado City.
Well done IHG!

We recently stayed here for two nights while we were in town for a wedding. It's a brand new place, and it shows. The room, lobby, everything was beautiful. It was in a great location, just across the freeway from downtown. Our room had a window facing the freeway and we never heard a thing. I don't know if we had neighbors, but the place was silent. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to eat the breakfast.

I don't know if this applies to all rooms, but ours had a microwave and mini-fridge built in to some cabinetry, so you don't have to request it like some places.

One of the biggest pluses was the parking is FREE!

Everybody at the front desk was nice and friendly.

As one reviewer stated, we did see a couple homeless gentleman in the area, literally two. They did not approach us, and we never saw them in the parking lot. I wasn't worried in the least about the location.

We would stay here again without hesitation.

This hotel just opened, which is why we booked it. The rooms and hotel itself were clean. Breakfast was free and had a lot of options. Staff was friendly. The pool was nice but pretty small compared to some. They were out of mountain view rooms so we were left facing the interstate. However, had I known that there was a homeless shelter a few blocks away I would not have booked this hotel. We were approached by several people in the parking lot asking for money and it made us nervous to even leave our truck in the parking lot for how many people were outside at night. I was certainly not comfortable having our daughter with us. This is also at an exit that doesn't have much else to offer in terms of food or gas.

Room Tip: Ask for a mountain view room otherwise you will be looking directly at the interstate.

Love the new hotel - great decor, professional and helpful staff, nice swimming pool and hot tub. Beautiful mountain view in a spacious suite - all that for an affordable price. This is the lowest priced hotel we've stayed out over a week's vacation in Colorado, and by far the nicest one. 2 Thumbs up, we will be back.
