Got here at opening time (5P) and despite that the food was OUTSTANDING .. .. A classic-looking, dark wooded steakhouse right in downtown .. ..

Started with .. ..

POTATO-WRAPPED OYSTERS - Oustanding =)
FRENCH ONION SOUP - Best ever =)

and finshed off with .. ..

NEW YORK STRIP - Delicious, even for a neanderthal like me .. .. I've always thought Filet was tastier and NY Strip would need a bit of sauce, but this was ideal .. ..

and everything was so terrific that there was no room for desert!

“Best Steakhouse in the Springs”

My husband and I have gone to MacKenzie's several times for special ocassions - birthdays, anniversaries, etc. We are never disappointed with our meals. The artichoke dip is the best in town, and the steaks are always cooked perfectly. Fairly reasonably priced for a higher-end steakhouse... we usually get out for under $100 with appetizers, salad, two dinners and a couple of beers. Well worth it, in my opinion!
