This is not a full Vietnamese restaurant--it's a noodle shop. 20+ varieties of Pho, plus Bun bowls, rice plates and a few appetizers. The Bun bowls have more toppings than I've ever seen, and I've yet to be able to finish one in a single sitting. And the ingredients are fresh and tasty, meats grilled just right, fiery shrimp, crispy egg rolls--yeah, the combination Bun bowl is my favorite. But my favorite part about this restaurant is that we can take our vegetarian daughter here and the owners GET IT. They don't try to pass off chicken or fish as vegetarian. So the veg Bun bowl doesn't use fish sauce. The vegetarian Pho uses vegetable stock. You'd think this would be common practice/common sense, but it's not. Also, I've order the veg Bun bowl and it was incredibly delicious. The vegetarian dishes are prepared with the same care as the rest of the dishes.
OK, on the minus side, this place is on the small side, and when it's full, the service slows down. But it only takes two visits for the woman in charge to recognize you and remember what you like. They're very friendly. They seem to do a big take-out business, too. We just plan to go a little early or a little late when we're going for dinner, and that way we miss the rush. So, so good, and a huge bargain. Where else can you feed a family of four with delicious food for just about $30?
