“Kids Loved it.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

We stopped looking for a place to fish (no fishing) but the kids had a blast checking out the different animal displays. They had alot of interactive displays for the kids. Great way for them to learn more about animals.

“Beautiful scenery, hikers paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

Easy access from Colorado Springs on paved roads. Great scenery, abundant wildlife, and varied trails provide opportunity for everyone to enjoy the outdoors. Helen Hunt Falls makes for a good stop along the road. Highly recommended for hiking and can be enjoyed even if you only have a couple free hours in Colorado Springs.

“Beautiful drive and a chance for some exercise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

Canyon takes off from the city's western edge. Breath take from canyon floor and later, should you decide to take Gold Camp Road down, from above. When the pavement ends at the top there's a big parking area where you can get out and stretch your legs and do a little easy hiking along a mountain road that used to be a railroad bed for trains hauling gold out of Cripple Creek. Nice way to blow a few hours and exhaust the kids and dogs. If you take Gold Camp down, you will find the road narrows to a single lane and you'll need to honk in places to make sure it's clear but the views east and DOWN into Cheyenne Canyon are stunning. Not for those afraid of heights. Brings you back down into Old Colorado City.

“sunrise bike ride”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

We were part of a group that biked down the old railroad track. We started with first light and hit an amazing spot just as the sun came over the horizon. What a picture - mountains, shadows, city in the valley and a huge orange ball just lighting up the ski. Worth the ride because it is beautiful scernery.

“Take the Lower Road!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2012

So many great pictures and views to enjoy. The drive through the park is absolutely beautiful. This park was free to enter and has a gorgeous waterfall to check out as well.
