A tough visit with young kids. I enjoyed the parts I got to see, but my toddler made it tough to keep up with the group. It didn't help that the only bathroom that visitors are allowed to use is in the visitor center. So, we had to leave halfway through the tour and walk all the way back to the visitor center at diaper time.
The gift shop is nice, as well as the memorabilia and the walkway of flags and the statues garden in the front. I was disappointed that the Olympic flame did not appear to be lit after reading that it was always on at the center. The tour is free, so worth a trip if you're interested at all in the Olympics and/or sports.

We enjoyed our tour here very much, expecially since we were there during the olympics. Our guide was a female wight lifter who was in training there. We got to see several of the facilities and learned a lot about how the athletes train. Definitely worth your time if you are in the area.

It is free and worth the time for a visit. It is bit difficult to find as there are not many signs for the Center as there are for so many other attractions in Colorado Springs, not sure why. They have a tour which was very interesting especially since the summer Olympics are next month. The tour lasts only about 45 minutes and begins with a short (12 minutes) movie which gets you all inspired about the Olympics. We had a fun, infomative guide which took us around the complex. Due to the time of day we were there, we did not get to see many athletes training but we enjoyed the tour anyway. We had access to a few buildings including where the men gymnists train. The complex was larger than I expected and could house more athletes than I realized. Even were able to see some authentic gold medals. Most of the tour is outside. Large gift shop but be aware that since VISA is their sponser, they don't accept any other credit cards.

My hubbie's a huge sports/Olympics fan and a coach, so we had to make a detour on our Colorado trip to come here. And since I spent 9 months living in Colo. Springs, I obliged because I wanted to revisit this beautiful place. The training center isn't huge and spectacular, but if you're into that sort of thing, you'll like it. The tours are free, frequent and about 1 hour long. We had the most fun buying souvenirs in the gift shop for Beijing!! I even found a baby onesie on super-markdown from the Torino games (where we had our honeymoon)! Anyway, the tour was okay. I and others got bored in places. Our guide was a young athlete who frankly wasn't very engaging. We only got to see a handful of actual athletes training. But overall, it was a fun experience.

We had a very hard time finding this place! You would think the city of Colorado Springs would be proud of this wonderful place. We went to the Air Force Academy first and saw the sign for the Olympic Training Center going north on I 25. Coming back south, there wasn't a sign at the exit. Turned around and went back north. After getting off the interstate there wasn't another sign directing you to the site. Had to stop and ask directions. Once we got there we enjoyed the tour and seeing Olympic athletes training. As this is an Olympic year, it was even more inspiring to see.
