Many reviews have said to skip this that it is a tourist trap. I'm glad I didn't listen. I have never seen a waterfall this is one of the reasons I chose to go, it was beautiful especially at night. You must know that in order to enjoy this you must be willing to climb several and I mean several stairs. It was well worth it.

There are so many absolutely beautiful places to see for free or very little money in Colorado that this was especially disappointing. Evening rates per adult are $10.25. (Day rates are a mere $8.75.) As others have mentioned there are even free waterfalls nearby! This one is not that impressive, and I really love waterfalls! I wasted valuable vacation time (and money) in the long line of cars, and then when I got there, the falls were skinny and not even seven separate waterfalls. It was one waterfall that falls in "seven distinct steps." Since it had taken me forever to get into the place, I stayed on the deck while several groups came and went. Several people were very excited by wildlife viewings. As I sat there, I noticed the animals didn't move. They put fake animals on the mountain. Gee whiz, talk about a tourist trap! I'm happy for those who enjoyed their time there, but this was the only place in Colorado that I've ever regretted visiting.

Very expensive. If you go at night the place is quite dangerous, not well lit, etc. If you are disabled, there is an elevator to a viewing post, but you still can only see 5 of the 7 falls. For the able-bodied, you can climb a sturdy but rather treaturous stair case to the top to see the 2 falls that are hidden from view below, but it is a tough climb and not for the faint of heart. I wish I had my money back - a big tourist rip-off.

Very expensive when you can go to Helen Hunt Falls right around the corner for FREE!! Helen Hunt Falls has a wonderful hiking/picnic area, and did I mention it was FREE?? Much better choice.

“Nice Viewing”

Seven Falls has several things to see/do.

1. View the three water falls
2. Walk the trails at the top level of the park
3. See the Indian dance in the evening
4. See the nightly lighting of the water fall.
5. Climb the three steep stairways.
6. Go thru a mini tunnel to read history of mining.
7. Take pictures.

First, before you go there, be sure to call Seven Falls to make sure that the stairs are open and if the lighting works. We went three there three times over two days and never saw all details. Rain closed the stairs on day 1, and on day 2, the nightly colored lights failed, so we did not see the pretty colors. Anyhow, the water falls are very nice to see and the challenging part is that if you want to see the higher-level waterfall, you have to climb these very steep stairs, which is very strenuous on your legs. Make sure that people in your group are healthy to climb stairs (about 180 steps per stairway)
You can spend about two-three hours there depending if you walk the trails. It is a fun place to go to and I would recomend it to anyone. They charge a bit extra to go at nite-time because of the colored lighting, but I prefer the daytime because you can't really see to much at nitetime.
