Only zoo in the country on a mountain. Great variety of animals. They all look very well cared for and the layout/presentation is great. We enjoy the Denver Zoo as well, but this is different, with different animals. We enjoy walking/hiking and live in the mountains (in a ski resort) so walking up/down the hills was fun for us (it is stroller and "kid-in-backpack" friendly). We skipped the chairlift ride - we get plenty of chairlift rides at home. The restaurant was very good with lots of choices and reasonable prices. I had been here maybe 20+ years ago and remembered it as being great, I was glad to see it still is. If you want to save a few bucks go to their website and take the zookeeper quiz - fun for the kids and very educational.
