“Really made some nice changes!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

They have really made some nice changes to the zoo. Better enclosures for the animals and I can't wait to try the new Outlook restaurant. Unfortunately, it was raining and cold last time we went so looking forward to trying it out on a nice day.

Great job you guys!!

“Worth a Visit Just For the Giraffes!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo although we seemed to choose the hottest day of the week to visit. The giraffes are close to the entrance and the exhibit is spectacular. We went back numerous times throughout the day! The primates area was also very nice but I do have to mention that the indoor hippo enclosure was the worst smelling thing I have ever encountered... not the zoos fault - they were cleaning it - but what dirty creatures! We did enjoy the sky lift and having access to the Shrine of the Sun was great.

“Worth the cost of the ticket”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is pricey to visit, but well worth it! Parking is free. The giraffe exhibit was wonderful and it is definitely worth it to pay $2 to feed the giraffes. You view the giraffes on a platform so you are at the level of their heads. It is possible to pet them and take great pictures while feeding them. The zoo had many animal care workers around to answer questions and provide suggestions. The zoo is built on the side of a mountain so be prepared for some strenuous walking if you are not used to the altitude. Shuttles are provided for all day transit for $2 if needed. A drive through the zoo to the top of the mountain to visit the Will Rogers' Shrine was included in the price of admission. It was worth the drive for the view from the top if nothing else.

“Small but nice”

Had a great time spending a few hours with my daughter feeding the giraffes and viewing the animals. Clean zoo and great views!
