“Beautiful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

We came to this hotel late in the evening after having to leave the hotel we had originally reserved for the night due to a horrible experience. The Wyndham was so comforting to walk in to after the nightmare we experienced. The Friendly staff, clean, beautiful atmosphere and cloud-like bed helped turn our night around. Was definately worth paying a little more to know we were staying in a quality, clean hotel. Recommend this to anyone who will be staying in the Springs!

I stayed at this Wyndham twice this summer. I was reminded of the Monte Leon in New Orleans except I can state unequivocally that the quality of the restaurant and rooms was markedly superior to that establishment. The building is utterly unique in that numerous walk-in strong safes that were in use when the actual mining exchange was an ongoing concern have been converted into working areas for the staff. Brass adornments from the exchange era abound and lend an antique quality to some of the common areas though this hotel just opened this summer. The staff is as polite and professional as any I have ever dealt with. The hotel was ideally located for my business purposes. I can think of no other hotel in Colorado that would receive a higher overall rating, from the perspective of the business traveller, than this one.

This was a wonderful stay, and a great location in the downtown. We were on the third floor and and HUGE windows overlooking the downtown. The room was comfortable and everything was done in granite. The shower was wonderful! It was a double headed shower and just wonderful. The staff was extrodinary. From our check-in to checkout and everything in between the staff was great. They were always willing to help out. My only problem was that we did not know where to park. When we arrived, we were greated by the valet who said it would be probably easier for us to park ourselves to save $18.00 There is a parking garage around the corner so we used that. I was very pleased with every aspect of our stay at the hotel!

We had a very positive experience during our two night stay. The room was perfect! The only negative I can think of would be the valet parking. I would prefer self parking so I have access to my car at all times without calling down and feeling the pressure to leave a tip every time. Lots of good restaurants within a short walk. Would not hesitate to come back.

I booked this hotel for a 3-day business trip. Its located in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs, and was directly across the street from where our meetings were held. Apparently it had just opened in May...I could still smell the hint of a fresh coat of paint in the room. It was an old building renovated to a semi-upscale hotel by Wyndham.

Likes: Great location, friendly staff, somewhat upscale rooms, very clean, comfortable beds, good amenities, 42-in LCDs, decent cable tv selections, key toiletries in bathroom, separate 2-headed showers, efficient concierge.

Dislikes: Somewhat smaller rooms (at least the one I got), terrible views (at least from the room I got; was the back of the building next door), house-keeping was late the first day upon returning from my all-day meeting, but made up for it the next couple of days without my complaining, no free breakfast.

Overall, it was a pretty good place to stay. I will probably be traveling to CS again next year and will consider this hotel, depending on the going rates.

This hotel is close to perfect. The rooms are spotless and the recent renovation was beautifully done. The exposed brick and courtyard had lots character. You really feel comfortable in the room- from the bed to the paint colors. The rate was very reasonable for the room. You are really close to lots of great restraunts. There is a pay parking lot across the street and a few garages. If you don't want to valet.

Wow! What a great new addition to Colorado Springs and the downtown area. Upscale and beautiful in every way. Quiet and comfortable. Great service and affordable. Charming restaurant with delicious New Orleans menu. Give the Grand a try and you will be back time and time again.
