“Excellent new property”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2012

Spent two nights here and had a very enjoyable stay. When we first checked in, we were mistakenly given a handicap accessible room, but the front desk quickly found us another room.

The room was well appointed, with high ceilings, HDTV with a somewhat cumbersome entertainment menu, comfortable bed, and a GREAT shower with dual shower heads. The ceiling fan was also a nice touch. The room itself was somewhat dark, with no overhead lighting, but it did have two bedside lamps each with their own flexible reading lights. The room was quiet; we did hear occasional bumps and noises from surrounding rooms, but not enough to disturb our sleep.

I was quite impressed with the level of customer service from all the hotel staff, from the valets, bellhops, front desk, and restaurant staff. They were all attentive, polite, helpful, and prompt with their service. Considering this is a relatively new property, they all acted like experienced professionals.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to any Colorado Springs visitors.

Wow! What an impressive hotel. It was my first time staying in this area of Colorado Springs. I booked two nights and arrived to a more than helpful valet staff. The gentlemen were so attentive and friendly. I don't think I have ever encountered an entire hotel staff as friendly and happy to be doing their jobs! There was not one person that disappointed me! I LOVED tipping every single one of them!

The lobby is very nicely decorated and the bar in the lobby was exactly what the doctor ordered! Great top-shelf liquors and some amazing wines. I booked the room containing two beds and NEVER expected a room that was so spectacular! We stayed in the grand queen suite and was so pleasantly surprised by the size of the room, the amazing comfortable beds, the wonderful sitting area, desk and extra bathroom! The room was so clean and neatly decorated, Everything about the room was spectacular!!!The room service was amazing and was delivered so quickly - soo impressive!

The current price at this hotel is incredible! The hotel exceeded my expectations and there is no doubt that I will be returning to it any time I travel to Colorado Springs. Additionally, I will spread the word to all of my friends and family! Stay no where else! The Mining Exchange is Spectacular!!!!

New hotel that has an established elegant feel. Staff was extraordinarily attentive. Room was comfortable and well-designed. Marble bath with double shower was great. Spring Orleans, the restaurant next door, had excellent Cajun food. Would definitely recommend without hesitation.

My family and I visited Colorado Spring last weekend, we arrived to the Hotel around 11pm on a Friday, (The Olimpics openning night) The Hotel was packed..somehow my reservation that I made with Travelocity got wrong to the Hotel and instead 2 doubles bed I have a reservation for 1 King bed, we were 4 people.. :<( and no more rooms avaliable due the events for that night. Christian the person on charge that night tried very hard to find a solutions for us .
The Hotel accomodations are great, rooms are all new and the part that me and my family like it the most was the dual showers..
The location is great, people very friendly and the Hotel restaurant "Spring Cajun" have a really good food!!
Next time I'll visit Colorado Sprig I'll not hesitate to stay in this Hotel!!

The only things is that I thing they're a little short of people at the front desk was not time that I walked by that I did not see Christian working and trying to help the guest on his best way.!!

Thank you Christian!

Room Tip: Very nice place to stay..I 'll not hesitate to stay here next time we visit Colorado Spring!

This location is absolutely gorgeous and a great value at the current price.

Well, a great value for the style and luxury within. There is no pool. No breakfast or other snacks included. Self parking is $.75 an hour at the garage a block away.

However, the soaring ceilings in the rooms are unique. The room layout with a small foyer. The granite laden bathroom and double headed shower. The exposed brick in the room. The large LCD tv that is more of an entertainment/information system.

I would stay again.

Stayed there last Friday & Saturday and it was a dream. It's a five star hotel for a three star price.
It just opened so all the rooms are brand-new. Two widescreen HD TVs in every room and an air-conditioner that ROCKS. (love that) Granite bathrooms, granite bedside tables, three granite tables in the sitting area, granite coffee station, eight-foot granite desk, etc. Beautiful tile shower with room for two with twin sprinklers. One wall was 100-year old brick (wife loved that).
At their bar, shots of ultra-luxury Chinaco Anerjo tequila just $9.99. Their Springs Orleans Restaurant has a five star chef and it's Cajun Food Heaven. Can't say enough good things about The Mining Exchange Hotel in Colorado Springs.

Room Tip: All rooms are brand new - you smell wood and leather - very nice,

This is a relatively new hotel located in an early twentieth century building yet redone to the highest caliber. The rooms are ample, comfortable, in soothing shades of taupe and beige; excellent bathrooms, and extremely quiet. The location is very good, a two minute walk to the old downtown area round the hotel, now filling up with good restaurants and open air cafes...a welcome change to an otherwise sterile city. The restaurant Springs Orleans was excellent for breakfast yet did not have a chance to check the other meals: in any event it bodes well. Service while still new, works fine. This is the place to go to if you want a hotel of character of the highest standard; previously the Broadmoor was the choice, yet the latter is a bit out of the way and in my opinion too large.

Room Tip: Room 506, a corner room has a good bath and room distribution.
