“Enjoyed the new metro look that Hyatt Place brings”

We ended up staying here 3 nights when only planning to stay one. We ran into some car problems and the staff was helpful and took my husband to the auto parts store. The pool is great! We loved the flat screen TV. Not that excited about the breakfast offering, but enjoyed use of the computer.

“Great place to stay”

Hyatt Place Colorado Springs

We researched quite a few hotels before choosing this one, and we are so glad we did. Our room was clean and everything seemed new. Customer service was excellent. Anytime we had a question or needed something, it was taken care of right away. They do serve a complimentary continental breakfast which we thought was average. We have had more of a variety in other hotels, but this was fine. We stayed 5 nights, and we would absolutely stay here again.

“Spacious rooms”

Hyatt Place Colorado Springs

This hotel was just remodeled spring of 2007 and is a beautiful new place. The rooms are spacious and are packed with everything you need. While the bathrooms are a big snug the large sitting area, bar and work area make up for the space. It is in a great location just off the highway and we had an easy check in after a late night drive. The continental breakfast is nicer then most hotels too. And while, it is your typical toast, bagels and cold cereal, they do offer the option to purchase omelets from their kitchen along with Starbucks coffee. Definitely worth the money on this location.

“Amerisuites Becomes Hyatt Over Night!”

Hyatt Place Colorado Springs

Jun 16, 2007
6/8 found this review helpful

We booked our vacation through Expedia on May 7,2007. We had three hotels we liked and decided after phone call to Expedia and Amerisuites to try them!

Both phone calls verified we would get king bed and pull out for our daughter! We were only ones checking in at 3:45 pm and they gave us room with two double beds on third floor. We spent over an hour driving around within a two mile area looking for this hotel and getting stuck in detours because of road constructions!

We finally after driving around the Hyatt three times looking for Amerisuites we stopped and walked in to ask! Lady at front desk says you have found us but we changed our name! Would have been nice if they told Expedia this! Or they could have told me when I called them on June 2,2007.

We were staying six days and like all hotels there was some good and some bad!

The ladies at the front desk were great all week and helped everytime we asked them.

Breakfast was alright for getting you started but nothing special to talk about!

The down side started when we found a blow dryer in the room and it was broken. My wife thought last person must have left it behind. I told the desk about it on Monday and was told it belong to the hotel and they would have maids pick it up!
This never happened and on Wed morning we took it to the front desk, this is three days now!

After we said something about the blower on Monday we didn't get bath soap, toilet paper or coffee refills again until I talked to the maid on our floor who played dumb, and then I went to the desk about it on friday morning.

During this whole week they folded our daughter's bed up with dirty sheets and left it. I asked and was told they should be changing it everyday like our beds. Front desk said if we left items on the bed they would not touch it and I told them nothing on the bed and they fold it up to get it out of their way only!

After five days we get one coffee and no creamer or sugar. The coffee maker only makes one cup at a time so you need coffee to make it for everyone!

On friday they finally brought bath soap(one little bar) and no hair wash after first night!

We spent six days here and daughter had dirty sheets and pillow case for five days, we checked in on Sunday and they made only bed change on Monday morning! 6/4/2007

As nice and helping as the ladies at the front desk were the maid service is one of the worse we have seen! PS: NEVER DID GET HAIR DRYER REPLACED!

As we left on Sat June 9th I told the desk they better not try charging us for the dryer. We had a fifty dollar charge show on our visa when we only owed for a movie of about $11.00. The charge has disapeared for now so we will see!

The nice part was five eating placing in walking distance to the hotel!

Like I said there was some good things about this place but the maid service over rides everything! We would never stay here again!

This hotel is beautiful! It was just refurbished and rebranded. The rooms are huge, 2 double beds, a sectional couch with pull out bed, big work desk, 42" plasma screen t.v., bar with refrigerator, granite countertops throughout.

The staff were very nice, and helpful.
