“Nice clean hotel with excellent staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2014

I stayed for 3 evenings at the end of May 2014. The room was clean and modern. The staff was always friendly and accommodating, and were eager to answer questions. The location is perfect for visits to the Garden of the Gods and other attractions. The breakfast was good.

My family was in Colorado Springs for the graduation at the USAFA. We stayed for five nights, and it was wonderful. We had a one bedroom suite for three adults and one child. Having the living room area was terrific for when everyone needed a place to hang out between events. In addition to the clean, spacious room, the breakfast had good variety and weekday evenings there is a social with light food and beverages. Finally, the outdoor pool and hot tub were just what we needed for unwinding each day. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. A reasonable price for an above par place to stay. Oh, and the location was great too. 5-15 minutes to every tourist place... Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs, Cliff Dwellings, Olympic Training Center, and (of course) the USAFA.

We stayed over a long weekend with friends for a wedding. Room was comfortable and spacious. We were 5 sharing a room with two double beds and a sleeper sofa. Staff was really helpful bringing us up shower caps, irons, blow dryers, towels, whatever we needed. Breakfast had a nice spread every morning and it was free! Overall great stay, we would definitely return.

Our family stayed here for a weekend getaway to the Springs, this hotel came recommended so we thought we would give it a try!

Our check-in was a breeze, parking was plentiful and convenient, with great access from the front of the property and the rear. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had a double Queen room, that also had a couch and fridge. The layout was great, our daughters shared one bed, and we were able to turn the TV towards the couch and enjoy our evening together while they snoozed.

The location was quiet, and convenient to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Cave of the winds, the Skysox Stadium, several great parks, and plenty of restaurants, as well as being right off of I-25.

The breakfast was great, even a bit more than I expected, with plenty of food variety for everyone. My wife went to the Starbucks in the lobby a couple of times, and really enjoyed having that option. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, even going so far as to offer a few maraschino cherries to my daughters while my wife was waiting for her coffee.

The fitness room was fine, nothing stellar but had everything I needed, and wasn't busy or cluttered. The pool was still covered up from winter.

Not a bad thing to say about our entire experience, if we stay in the area again this will definitely be our choice of hotels!

Clean, well appointed rooms. The bathroom was perfectly clean. I was really happy to see they had tea bags - not all hotels do.

The Lobby is sparkling clean and the front desk staff's attention to detail and pleasant demeanor rivals 5* hotels.

Breakfast is included which really is an added value.

I'd stay here again - with pleasure!

First stay, and there was much to like - great view, great location, and despite being right next to the freeway the room (3rd floor, 'mountain' side) was extremely quiet. Some issues though :
1. Access is through a gas station (seriously) and very hard to find for the first time visitor. A sign on the median might be useful.
2. Breakfast buffet had a really good selection, but considering this is a city/state that celebrates diversity, it would be nice if just one of the hot items could be meatless. If carnivores get three choices, can't vegetarians be given at least one ? (Other hotels can do this, so why not Hyatt ?)
3. The hotel is smoke free, which is great, but many of the staff weren't, and it seems the rear door area (where most of the parking is) has become the "smoker's lounge". Tacky. And very smelly. If you're pitching to smoke-free guests, how about a non-smoking staff ?
4. Not a deal-breaker, but for a hew hotel some of the decor just seemed very...70's...y'know ? Surprising

Other than that, great room, great view, good price. All told, a good stay.

Oh, and a very big plus - TWO free morning papers : Wall St. Journal and USA Today. Nice

Room Tip: Higher floors on the 'mountain' side have the better view. The lower the room number, the fu...
