“Comfy Room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

The hotel was clean and pretty quiet even though we were right by the freeway. The continental breakfast was awesome. I had a great view from room and it was very spacious. Hubby and I were with another couple and we all four were able to watch the World Series Game very comfortable. The only thing I was not happy about is that I could not get my points because I did not book with them directly. So I lost points, other than that it was good and I would go back but this time I will book directly thru them.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

Just finished a 5 night stay here as I was in town for a conference. Check in was easy, I was given a room on the fourth floor facing the highway. Beds were comfortable, linens fresh and plenty of pillows. Towels were fluffy and plentiful. This Hyatt is laid out in similiar fashion to one we often stay at when flying out of DIA. Closet is on the smaller side, but not a deal breaker. The room has a small refrigerator and a coffee machine on a breakfast bar near the desk. This is an excellent layout for a family as this room could comfortably sleep 6. Heater/Air conditioner unit on wall under window and does a good job cutting the highway noise. Breakfast is surprisingly good, served from 6:30am to 9:30am and you can bring the food up to your room if it's crowded downstairs.

There is a Black Eyed Pea, Applebee's and a Freddy's restaurant in the same shared parking lot making going to dinner very easy if you don't want to drive. A Village Inn is down the driveway on the other side of the hotel. There is a Conoco gas station that has plenty of snacks and sodas to stock the room frig.

There are still renovations going on, one elevator has the carpet covered in plastic, and moving pads on the walls. One afternoon I saw one worker stacking bathtub boxes in the hallway, so they are actively updating the rooms. Again, not a deal breaker, stay away from the pads on the walls so you don't get your clothes dirty...I admire the fact they are upgrading their property in this economy.

This hotel is very convenient to Garden of the Gods and the University just down the road. I didn't have much interaction with the staff, but would recommend this hotel if you are in the Colorado Springs area.

Older property but okay for the money, less than $90. Strange bathroom configuration with no sink near the commode. Sink and large countertop is outside the bathroom. The air comes up under the shower doors when you're in there, and it's cold. The shower is a step-in, so good for anybody who is physically unable to step up into a shower. The bed is comfortable, but rocks for pillows. Towels are okay and plentiful.

Room was clean and quiet as there is a large seating area near the entrance door (we faced north) and the bed is beyond that near the windowed wall. No make-up mirror, but there is an iron and ironing board.

Unusually good lighting for a hotel room, especially if you read in bed.

This property is difficult to find but it is right off I 25 behind a Village Inn. It is very close to the entrance to the Garden of the Gods Park. We chose it for proximity to family.

Construction is underway in part of the hotel, and the elevator was dirty. Almost slipped on the way in a side door near our room as well because of construction materials.

The hotel staff at this location are super nice and very helpful. The rooms were up to standard, clean and welcoming. The location is good in that it's close to all major attractions. They offer free breakfast, free parking and free Wifi.

Very modern lobby and rooms. Best continental breakfast ever, great coffee at breakfast and in room. Free apples anytime and Wall Street Journal. Good discounts for groups. Absolutely a delight and would look for this accommodation in any other town that I visit.

The room was very comfortable and arranged like a studio apartment. There was a comfortable couch that was separated from the sleeping area so if you wanted to read, you were not disturbing the other person. The room was very clean with a sink and vanity outside of the bathroom which made getting ready easy for both of us. The breakfast was a "cut above" the usual complimentary breakfasts and the staff providing the breakfast did a great job. We would highly recommend the Hyatt.
