“Great Hotel for Girls Trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2010

My mom and I had a great experience at this hotel. I was very happy with the location - it was close to restaurants and only a short drive to the zoo. They even have two restaurants that are within walking distance (in the same parking lot as the hotel). They were offering a room/zoo package that was a great value. The hotel is not right off the highway which was a big plus for us - it was a very quiet and safe location. The staff was very accomodating and the rooms were nice - we had a nice view of the courtyard. The beds were really comfortable. They ended up giving us a free breakfast which we didn't even expect - that made it an even better value. Even if you don't get the breakfast free, they offer a few nice options. They had a waffle with bacon for less than $4 or you can get the buffet for $5 or $8 depending upon whether or not you want to include eggs/bacon/sausage. Great stay!

Stayed here on Rewards points. Only complaint is the internet is painfully slow during any kind of normal times. At 3 AM is just fine, but anywhere near any popular use times and it just drags. Did it in my room and here in the business center too.

Location is good. Breakfast not free, but very reasonable and good quality.

This was my first time in Colorado Springs on business and this hotel met all my needs, including helping my extra large fed ex packages for arrival and pick up. The customer service was excellent. The room was good sized and breakfast was included my stay. The service in the breakfast resturant was very attentive. You will get your money's worth by staying at this hotel. There are a couple of resturants in walking distance but you will need a car for anything more. It was very quiet on the floors and ample cable channels. Mountains in the background make the views beautiful.

We traveled to CO springs for a sports competition at the olympic training center. That was the only con we had, was it was a bit far from the olympic training center.

Now for the good!
-Location: Pretty great! We were close to the airport and many nice resteraunts like macaroni grill.
-Service: The people there we VERY kind and helpful. They gave us a gift basket because we are marriott rewards members. They were kind to us and happy to give us a extra key when we lost ours. The waiter at the breakfast was so nice and treated us with much respect. Honestly at this hotel, we felt like royalty.
-Hotel + Design: The lobby was so cozy, with a fireplace and comfy sofas. there were flat screen TVs in the loby, which were playing the news so we could catch up while relaxing and eating breakfast. There was a nice computer also, and it had pretty fast internet.
-Rooms: Very organized, COMFY COMFY beds!!!!! Bathrooms were great and the TV was nice.
-Food: Breakfast was very yummy, and well cooked. Very inexpensive too.
Overall it was great. It wasn't too crowded and it made our stay in colorado springs very enjoyable. DEFINATELY RECOMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed here passing through. The rooms were clean and quite large. The staff was exceptional and the pool was great. The beds were the most comfortable I've slept in.

My husband and I stayed at the Courtyard from June 18th until June 22nd. We traveled with a group of friends with small children because we were all going to a wedding in the area.
Pros-
The Courtyard is in a great location. It is close to many shopping areas and restaurants. There is a Chili's, a Target and a great bagel place about 15 minutes away. There is also a Starbuck's, a Red Robin, an IHOP and a Panera Bread about 10 minutes away. The Macaroni Grill is right next door. The Bennigan's that is next door is shut down. The breakfast selection in the Courtyard is okay. They had hot water and tea selections as well as coffee in the lobby all day.
The kids enjoyed the swimming pool. The room itself was alright. It was clean and the shower had plenty of hot water and good water pressure.
Our friends each had a ground floor room. One of the rooms had a sliding glass door out to the parking lot which was convenient for them when they to load up the children. Our other group of friends had a suite with a large living room with a fold out couch and kitchen area with sink, refrigerator and microwave. This worked well for them because they had three young children.
The staff was very nice and I enjoyed the candy in the lobby. The hairdryer in the room worked great.
The hotel was near the zoo, the Broadmoor Hotel and Seven Falls.
Free wifi was nice as we were able to bring our laptop and check e-mail.
There was also a business center with one computer downstairs that was convenient.
Cons-
The bed was uncomfortable. The walls were extremely thin and you could hear everything that was going on in the room next door. We were also on the side of the hotel that faced the street and one night it was very noisy. The iron in the room was extremely unstable and fell off of the ironing board several times when I was trying to iron.
The second floor hallway smelled like dirty diapers.
The gym only had two treadmills and one exercise bike. It was very small.
All in all the hotel was okay.
