“Best Holiday Inn so far...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

Good Holiday Inn with modern rooms. Coin laundry is quite expensive ($1.50 per wash or dry) but a good convenience. Free wi-fi. Full service restaurant/sports bar downstairs that you get a discount voucher for when you check-in. Noisy A/C. A bit away from the main part of town, but doesn't matter if you have a car.

First time here. Very friendly staff and very clean and comfortable room. Unfortunately the pool is not heated. There is a hot tub though. One nice surprise was a good size flat screen TV with a connected DVD player. Would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed at this hotel twice now. Both times were positive experiences. Although this hotel lacks the "wow" factor that I consider critical to earn the "excellent" rating, it measured good enough in most categories to earn a "very good" rating.
The check in and check out experience was good. The folks at the front desk are experienced and competent. They are also very friendly.
The amenities such as the business center and fitness center were very good.
I really liked the breakfast lady. Friendly and pleasant...a nice member of the staff.
I did hear a lot of noise in the morning. My room was on the second floor and I heard 360 degree noise pollution.
Stay here...you won't be disappointed.

I found this hotel to be the perfect place to stay near the airport. Since it has a free shuttle that runs all day, you can easily get to the airport. The rooms are very nice, the dining room is good for both dinner and breakfast, and the personnel could not have been nicer.

Our family has done nothing but travel all over the U.S. for 2 years. So, we decided to have a staycation and stay at this Holiday Inn. We had a fantastic time! We have a young daughter so it was great fun swimming in the pool for hours. A wonderful perk that the hotel had was the sports bar and grill. The sports bar was great to kick back and have some great food with the family. My extented family is coming next week and I bet you can guess where we are headed for another staycation. We are bringign our own breakfast this time. It was quit pricey for breakfast. Over all great hotel!

Dear Kristin T,

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to write such a great review about hotel! We take pride on making sure that all of our guests are treating like family! Make sure that you have signed up for our priority club program. It is completely free to sign up and you get a $5.00 off coupon to use in our restaurant. That might help with breakfast. both the hotels hi and hi express seem to be in good shape. however, my 86 year old mother likes the chain and is a member of their loyalty program. we are vacationing from california and mom decided to stay in colorado springs. so she called the 1 (800) number and booked the room. she asked how to get there but from what i heard (on speakerphone in car) were very general indeed!
arrow plaza but some call it martin luther king expressway! so she wrote it down. no one EVER offered to spell the address give the exit number (or highway number). so after driving through colorado springs, we exited and parked by the air force training center. called 1(800) again no one asked which highway we were on! so i tell her to get the local number. we were finally told to exit 25 south at exit # 139. great (i thought) still lost we called the local number. where we were told by the female on the phone "i am not from here!" "i am the only one here" i dont mlk parkway."
45 minutes after arriving in colorado springs we stopped at a gas station and were directed right here. seems we were 10 minutes away but had no way of knowing!
i will never stay at your properties again.
just no excuse for poor directions at $100.00 per night! j turner lafayette, ca

Room Tip: i am still angry with the situation! so no tips

We are very dissapointed to hear about the poor directions that you received from our 1-800 number and from one of our Holiday Inn properties. We wanted to say how much we appreciate your feedback so that this will never happen again.

I stayed here with a few other guys from work. We were in town for work and we had stayed here a couple years ago. The hotel has been remolded and the room are very nice! The restaurant/bar has also had a make over and is very nice. I would say that this Hotel would be best for singles or couples. They have a small indoor pool. If I was coming to Colorado Springs with my family I would choose another hotel that I also did a review on. One problem that I have noticed is that cars get broken into sometimes, I'm guessing that they are looking for items in the cars and if they see something that they want they break the glass and take it. Be safe, don't leave electronics in your car and park near the main entrance. This hotel is not in a bad area and I am kind of surprised that cars get broken into. It has happened on two different trips here. Lucky just not to my rental.

Room Tip: They have some King rooms and priority club members can get a King room if they are available. I'...
