“It's Good.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2010

I ended up here quite unexpectedly - a blizzard closed I-25 and I didn't have a choice.
Lucky me! The staff was very attentive, the rooms are spotless and quiet. If you're looking for a hassle-free night's sleep, stay here.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2009

Stayed for 4 nights and would stay again. Nice and new. Good decor. Clean. Comfortable beds. Decent continental breakfast. I could hear my neighbors more than I'd like (turning fan to 'on' instead of auto was key - luckily hvac was LOUD too.) Hotel manager did a nice job physically dragging a drunk couple across the way into their room as they were shouting and stuck on the floor.
Suggestions for hotel:
1. "wet floor" signs don't prevent people from falling, entrance way too slippery!
2. wifi signal was good but internet too slow
3. heat lamp in bathroom would be nice, was cold

Pretty, modern decor. Clean. Adequate breakfast. Nice hot tub outside overlooking the mountains. On the north side of town out of some of the congestion yet convenient to everything in Colorado Springs but less than an hour from Denver. Stayed here 4 nights with no problems.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2009

The Fairfield Inn Monument, as this relatively brand-new motel/hotel has dubbed itself, is one of those places that sometimes appear near the nation's many interstate highways seeking to appeal to discriminating travellers as they pass by. Some of these sites leave much to be desired; the Fairfield does not! It is, in every sense of the term, a major WOW. Every thing about the Inn shouts quality. The front lobby is spacious and elegant; the extremely comfortable guest rooms are beautifully appointed; the personnel of the hotel are all outgoing, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and the separate breakfast area was tasteful and ultra-nice in every way. The Inn claims to have seamless wireless connectivity and it is a claim well-supported. Free copies of both the USA Today and the local Colorado Springs newspapers are available. The rates are not cheap but they are extremely reasonable for a place as nice as this Fairfield Inn. This list of "pluses" could, I suspect, go on and on.

There are, of course, several small but not insignificant "minuses." Though counterspace in the bathroom is wonderfully spacious, the bathtub seems to have been designed only to accommodate munchkins. I am a big person so many motel tubs across the country prove less than adequate for me but even my relatively svelte wife had a hard time fitting in to the Fairfield's teeny facility. A refrigerator/freezer would have been very helpful but there are none. Through there are several restaurants and stores in the area, they are few and far between and it is necessary to drive anywhere from 5 to 10 miles to have much of a choice for either.

Perhaps the most frustrating irritant for us has already been addressed by the hotel. When we made our reservations to stay several months ago, the Fairfield, for reasons unknown, claimed to be located on Baptist Road which it clearly is not. As fate would have it, my wife and I arrived at Baptist Road only to find the exit closed with only the Colorado DOT's suggestion that we take a different exit. We did and it took us nearly another half hour to get back to the inn. In actual fact, of course, the Fairfield is located on Struthers Road, perpedicular to Baptist and its new stationery indicates that. Had we realized that simple "new" address, we could have easily reached the location via the Gleneagle exit a few miles south. But all that now seems a thing of the past. Though we were undeniably very inconvenienced, most subsequent travelers almost certainly will not be--at least if they do not access old materials about the inn.

We enjoyed our stay at the Fairfield Inn and especially its close proximity to the northern entrance of United States Air Force Academy and the ease of getting off of and on to the I-25 highway. Even with microscopically-sized bath tubs, we'd recommend this locale to anyone.

Thank you for your response! We are very pleased that you found our hotel to be everything that we claim it to be! Our staff takes a tremendous amount of pride in our property, and an equal amount of pride in taking care of the guests that come to stay with us. I will definately let the design team at Marriott know about your opinion of the bathtub/shower. We do have refrigerators and microwaves in our suites and would be more than happy to provide you one upon request. We do have several wonderful restaurants in the area less than half a mile away including Jackson Creek Chinese, Rotelli's, Chili's and Texas Roadhouse. We understand that our location is in a relatively newly developed area, and we look forward to more fabulous restaurants coming soon. Although I cannot help you with the direction at this point, I can explain them to you and for our future guests. Only one week before our opening, our address was changed by the city. This was a rough obstacle for us to overcome with such a short time to obtain positive results. Yes, our correct address is 15275 Struthers Road. We are near the intersection of Struthers road and Baptist Road, at exit 158 off of Interstate 25. The exit and entrance ramps for this exit is currently under construction for a new overpass and widing of the lanes. This construction is expected to be completed in the spring of 2010. While it is currently open, the Colorado DOT did close the ramps a few times during the major renovation of the overpass. Yes, you can definatley exit at the Gleneagle exit and head north on Struthers Road for two miles or exit at the Monument exit and head south on Jackson Creek Parkway for 5 miles to get to our hotel if there is any futher exit closings. We are so excited about being located across the interstate from the United States Air Force Academy! Thank you again for your comments and feedback. Without this information, we cannot measure our level of service that is being provided to our very deserving guests, nor could we correct or improve any areas that our well traveled guests expect. We will look forward to seeing you again!
