“Lovely Property and a Wow View”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014

WE stayed at this lovely Lodge for 4 nights and certainly were glad we did.
The room was large including the dressing room and bathroom. The fireplace added to the ambiance. The linens and bath towels all appeared new and crisp. The room was very clean.
I enjoyed the morning coffee in the room, the quality hair dryer and bath lotions etc. This is a first class operation. Only thing I would change is a new mattress.....they are going through a renovation, perhaps this will be replaced.
The view each morning is wonderful....you can't beat it! Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods at sunrise, lots of beauty.......
The Lodge has lovely art work and good dining opportunities. The staff is first class too!
We would certainly stay here again.!

Room Tip: All rooms have a wonderful view !

Amazing view from the room. Clean. Lots of space. The employees working the front desk were very friendly and helpful. My only concern was my waiter in the restaurant in the hotel. He was very rude. The restaurant closes at 10 and we came in at about 8:30 and he was making sarcastic remarks to a coworker about us walking in "late" even though we had an hour and a half. We could clearly hear him. He didn't greet us when he brought water to our tables. He didn't say anything at all. Other than the waiter I'd definitely stay at this hotel again and suggest it to anyone. We just won't be eating in the restaurant in the hotel again.

Thanks for your feedback. While we're glad that you enjoyed our breathtaking views, we're sorry that your dining experience didn't meet your expectations. As far as service is concerned, our staff is committed to providing warm, friendly service to each and every visitor we serve. I have shared your comments with our dining management for follow-up and training purposes. We would love to have you back to experience a better meal in the Dining Room. Once again, we appreciate your review.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights over the weekend. We had a great experience at this hotel. The location was excellent, and the view was just beautiful. We throughly enjoyed waking up to the view of Garden of the Gods every morning. The rooms were very spacious, however our only complaint was that they were a little outdated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and absolutely recommend this hotel.

We stayed for 2 nights here, with 2 children, and loved every minute. The view is spectacular. The rooms were very clean and spacious. No complaints! You could walk down to the Garden of the Gods if you wanted, it's across a small road from it. We did not try out the restaurant as it was formal and did not want to take children in. But everything looked really nice. The lobby was beautiful.

The room is spacious with fire place inside. All rooms are facing the famous 3 rocks. The dining area, lounge and sitting also have spectacular view. Outdoor hotpool and indoor jacuzi are part of the facilities.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2014

The views from the lodge and guest rooms are incredible. That alone should earn 5 stars. The place feels like an old-fashioned country club and could use some updating. The rooms are huge and are very comfortable. My only complaints are:

1. Each room has a balcony, and each balcony is separated by a metal screen. It was really windy the night we stayed, and the wind blowing against the metal screens sounded like a freight train. We didn't get much sleep. At the very least, the screens need to be louvred instead of solid so the wind can blow through them.

2. Nobody told us that the famous dining room would be closed during our stay. We even asked about it at checkin, and the gal at the front desk said it would be open until 9:00 pm. When we called later to make reservations, we were told it was not open. We ended up eating at the bar.

We would probably stay there again, as long as wind was not in the forecast.

Dear Jeremy - Thank you choosing our Resort for your February visit to Colorado Springs. We are so pleased that you enjoyed our incredible view and spacious guest room. However, we wanted to address your two complaints.

1. We are sorry to hear that you didn't have a peaceful nights rest due to the rattling screens on the balcony. The winds can be treacherous, as you very well know living in Parker, CO and we try to tighten the balcony dividers that loosen from the wind on a routine basis. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Our engineering department has taken care of this issue.

2. It is our goal to always serve guests in the Dining Room if it is not sold out or being reserved for an event. In the occasion that the Dining Room has been reserved, the Lounge becomes the main area of service. We apologize that the Front Desk did not make this clear upon your arrival. We are reviewing all dining aspects in the coming weeks, so the Front Desk and dining staff will be more accommodating.

We hope that this clears some of your concerns and that you do continue to keep us in mind when travelling to Colorado Springs!

This resort was on a beautiful piece of property that overlooks Garden of the God's park perfectly. Immediately upon check-in we were surrounded by wildlife. There were mule deer and bunnies outside our window every day. We had a spectacular view of the nature park from our bed. We loved turning on and off the fireplace with a switch. Only negatives: The room was too hot and dry. Even after turning off the heat and we live in Florida. There is an additional resort fee of $15 a day we thought unnecessary because we didn't read the paper, use the spa or gym.
