This gem is worth a visit if you are Colorado Springs. My boys (ages 10 and 12) did not want to leave. The rock formations and trails are beautiful and there are plenty of rocks to "boulder" on. One of the highlights of our week in Colorado.

Don't expect to be blown away by these rock formations. An interesting site to drive by, but I would not recommend taking any walks through here. On a July weekday afternoon the park was crowded.
Too crowded. It did not seem like a natural environment. There are many more worthwhile places to spend your time in Colorado.
IT WAS GREATER THAN WE EXPECTED. Go on a week day as the parking spaces are limited. All is beautiful and the TRADING POST is a nice stop with courtious people. Then if you lucky you may see some cliff climbers. This was AWESOME. Makes your heart race. A MUST GO LOCATION.(see pics)
My wife and I drove and hiked through Garden of the gods in May 2007 and the view are fantastic. The hiking is peaceful and awe inspiring. The visitor center has a great film about the garden as well as great views of two of the rock formation. The trading center has gifts for the whole family.
Garden's of the Gods is a wonderful hidden nugget in Colorado Springs. It rather reminded me of Sedona, AZ on a smaller scale. Walking was fairly easy on the walkway through the area. It was a bit steep coming out and so may be better to drive around for those with health issues. Plan at least an hour to walk through and maybe more. We didn't make it to the interesting looking gift shop as it closed at 5pm and we were later than that. It was interesting to learn it was donated in the early 1900's by an area family.
