“Relaxation at its best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

what a wonderful place. We stayed here back in 1976 and it was just a place to rest your head after a long drive from Pueblo. Now it is a place where you can relax, kick back and enjoy all of the fine amenities that are offered. Gary and Donna make your stay the most enjoyable. Two of the most friendly people you would want to meet. They took care of us right from the beginning when I first contacted them looking for a place to stay for applefest. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to relax and enjoy Grand Mesa and Cedaredge. I will definitely be back again.

My fiancé and I stayed at cedaredge lodge and we had an amazing experience. Our room very cozy and clean. The sound of the creek running through the grounds was very peaceful. Thank you Gary and Donna for a great time. We will see you again next year.

Both Gary and Donna went out of their way to make a few strangers feel at home and welcome. Sure you may think this is just another out of date motel in the middle of nowhere, but the rustic feel and warm accommodations may be just what you're looking for when you stop there. Service was an 11 out of 10. Just get the bird to say "goodbye" and you're in for a treat.

Real KTM owners will appreciate this place. Thank you!

Room Tip: Forget the Howard Johnsons. Go for the local experience!

We dropped into The Cedaredge Lodge after a harrowing decent on motorcycles from the Grand Mesa. It was dark and we were cold and wet. We called Gary on his office phone he came out and treated us with the most personal service I have ever encountered form a motel proprietor. Gary and Donna went over and above to accommodate 3 muddy, soggy and tired guys. They set up the room for us, cooked us a meal and gave us many options. After sitting in the hot Jacuzzi, I slept
like a baby on the comfortable bed in a very clean and beautiful room.
Thanks Guys. Wishing the most success for you
Steve

A really wonderful venue in a small town the locals call Cedarberry (Cedaredge). The outdoor living area - with kitchen and living room - feels like a tree fort. The entire hotel is next to a small babbling brook with views of the Grand Mesa. Hosts Gary & Donna are good company and very attentive. The last time I was there, one of the guests had an old black lab that laid out in front of the room with the the door open and offered a friendly wag of the tail to other guests. The food is really good and reasonably priced - and cooked to order. And the rooms have all been recently renovated in a western lodge style. There are many cool things to do nearby, from wineries, to fishing, to hiking, to snowmobiling and even mushroom picking in the late summer. Visit soon - our stay was most memorable!

Room Tip: All the rooms look great!

My three motorcycle riding buddies and I stayed at Cedaredge Lodge after the hotel reached out to us. We were on a big 225 motorcycle ride from Deming, New Mexico to Winnipeg, Manitoba. Gary got wind of the ride through another rider, found our organization and gave us a call. I have to say that Gary (who acts, talks and looks a little bit like Denzel Washington) is one of the most visionary guys I have met. He and Donna have transformed a run down average 9 unit motel into an amazing place of great food, comfortable beds, spotless rooms and true feeling of being right at home. There is outdoor dining at the back just a few feet from a creek. Something drew them to buy it and transform it and that same spirit draws its guests to this experience. Its like dropping in on old friends. We had ribs, chicken, salad and homemade peach cobbler. Gary has a dry rub going with the ribs that is to die for. This is a place to savor and relax for a couple of nights at least. Our visit was rather rushed--a long day of riding, arriving late in the afternoon and blasting out again the next morning for points north. It is on CO 65 that heads up onto "The Mesa" as it is called locally, connecting Delta to Rifle (with a stretch of I-70 as well). A very scenic part of Colorado and worth the drive or the ride. My riding buddies and I had great evening of it because of the special touch of Gary and Donna.

Room Tip: I was in room #4. Nice shower, great TV, big comfortable bed and an equipped kitchen. All the othe...

An absolutely unique experience. It may take you a few minutes for you to get your head around the fact that this place is there for YOU in every way. Gary and Donna make you feel as if you
are visiting friends, but you don't need to feel guilty about not pitching in to cook or clean. The rooms are spotless and have EVERY convenience. Very cozy feel to the entire property, with
a babbling stream running just behind your room, deer eating apples from the trees, entertaining hosts, and home cooked meals to your every specification! One of a kind spot, and we would return in a heartbeat. Not what you would call fancy, but extremely appealing with all the hand carvings in the rooms and groomed grounds. Every activity you could want, plus massages available. Give it a try and you won't be sorry!

Room Tip: The rooms are not large, but have every convenience and comfort. The bed was huge and we slept like...
