“Carbondale's Treasure! Delicious European Bistro”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2014

Well just like Cafe Bernard in Basalt, this is European Bistro at it's best only Allegria also has lively energy, fresh staff as well as delectable food. I called ahead for reservations, asked "do you have a halibut steak and a rib eye steak for us"? Andres, the owner and chef said " yes though the rib eye isn't on the menu" We felt special of course and felt doubly special after we had eaten these dishes. Absolute foodgasmic wonderful! The Malbec recommended was superb, the deserts with spicy chocolate and cream, the best decaf coffee ever.............all in all we had the best night of our whole Roaring Fork Valley dining experiences for July 2014 right here at Allegria. Thanks for keeping the ambiance and service of a bygone era alive in a valley full of nouveau cuisine which honestly, gets a bit boring to us. We love Allegria and next time we are in town we will definitely be back!

“4 star restaurant in mountain town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2014

The food was so fresh and amazingly prepared. A varied menu served in an attractive manner, well trained and personable waitstaff. The steak tartare (they had a slightly different name for this appetizer) was well seasoned and delicious. My butternut squash ravioli was the best I've ever had anywhere. What a find in Carbondale. Would definitely go back next time we visit.

“Chef owned, and chef managed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2014

Wow, were we impressed. We eat a lot of fancy types of meals. This was very good. The chef was out working the floor while running back to check each dish as they came out. He made sure they looked pretty and the way he wanted. This is almost a five for us, but not there. It could be on another day, it is close. My wife asked for a special pouched salmon, and she said it was very good. She asked for steamed spinach. Neither were on the menu, but she was very happy. I had a pasta dish that was very flavorful. I would try something else next time though. There are excellent choices of wine by the glass. And they were happy for us to taste them before we committed. Carbondale has some nice upscale choices to eat at. This is one of them.

“Always great!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2014

What can I say? I absolutely love this restaurant. Ordered the lamb special--wonderful! The bruchetta was some of the best I've ever had and the wine list is top notch. I could eat here every week!
