“Flies and filth next to a truck stop.”

How can anyone really write a good review of this place? Yes, it's 1 block off I-70 but the 20 flies that wanted to share our room also liked the location. But one of the amenities was a nice flyswatter in the closet! My forearms actually stuck to the arms of the wooden side chairs. It is right next door to a HUGE all night truck stop which promptly emptied their dumpster at 640am. The breakfast was cold cereal and toast but what can you expect for $48 (AARP rate, includes tax). The good news is McDonalds is right across the street. I hate to dump on Mom & Pop but... Do yourself a favor, pay more & stay someplace decent.

We were greatly pleased with this hotel. The rooms were very clean!! The staff was friendly and helpful with local activities. It was quiet even thought we were within a 1/2 mile of the highway. We plan on telling all our friends and family to stay here when passing through or for a getaway.

Room Tip: The staff helped us accomodate three rooms.

The location was good, with easy access from the interstate and lots of parking. The room was quiet and clean. We both got a great night of sleep until housekeeping knocked at 7:54 am. That was way too early.

I've stayed at every motel in Burlington except the rundown looking Burlington Inn. While the Chaparral is not the best I rate it #2. 60's style motel that is dated but has been kept up properly. Nice folks at the desk. Clean and well maintained. Non-smoking rooms have a very nice fresh smell. Many rooms with new carpeting. New flat screen TV's. Comfortable beds. Great older shower and larger plush towels. Rooms cleaned and sheets changed every day on multiple night stays. Can't say much about the continental breakfast as I don't partake but it doesn't look like very much. For the price, this place can not be beat in Burlington!

This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but when you need a clean and comfortable place to stay, you can't go wrong. Rooms are big, bathrooms are modern, with soft towels and paper products. Instant hot water and good pressure. Beds are comfortable and room is quiet. Breakfast isn't fancy, but plenty to get you filled up and on your way. Yes, the TV isn't a flatscreen, and there's no shampoo, but that's not a problem when the rates are this good! High speed internet works very well.

Clean, Quite, Comfortable older hotel. Nothing fancy but our room was very clean and very quite. Slept great. Very nice lady at the front desk. Coffee, toast, cereal for breakfast. Spent 2 nights here while my husband attended meetings. It was fine and I would be happy to stay here again.
