“peaceful and comfortable location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

We had a very nice stay and the owners couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. We had to be up and out early for our rafting trip, so they moved breakfast up by 15 minutes. They were full of excellent advice about the area and provided local menus, maps etc...
Our safari room was clean and lots of fun to stay in with creative decorating.
We left a charger in our room and Mark gave us a call to let us know...unfortunately we were too far along in our journey to return, but at least he called!

Buffalo peaks bed and breakfast is a really great place to stay for a nice getaway for a fun filled vacation. I went with my wife for the second time and we both loved it. The breakfast was great every single morning and it is located in the perfect place for plenty of activities. We went paddle boarding, white water refuting, hiking, biking, and fishing and it was all within 20 minutes from the b&b or less! Mark and his wife Paz were great hosts, lots of information and recommendationd of where to go and things to try. Would definitely recommend going as we are also planning on it again.

Room Tip: Mount Princeton is a great room. A bit too large for just 2 people but we still loved it.

This was our second time to stay at the Buffalo Peaks Bed and Breakfast. So very comfortable and inviting, you will feel like you're home. Mark and Paz are wonderful hosts and offer a breakfast to die for. We love the peaceful setting and beautiful views. Best place in Buena Vista to stay at. We look forward to coming back each year when we visit Buena Vista.

Room Tip: Quiet, peaceful setting. You'll love it here!

My husband and I stayed here last year and just think about it all the time since. It is a wonderful B&B run by a great guy and his wife. The food was great the room had views that were breath-taking and the surroundings were peaceful and un-matched. In the mornings, you could hear and see deer eating beneath the window. Felt like it was our own home. I'd go back again and again if it weren't so far away.

Room Tip: We stayed in the smaller room upstairs. Either would be a wonderful choice.

Stayed one night in the spacious Mt. Princeton room. The room was very comfortable, well furnished and decorated. The attached bathroom was huge with lots of counter space, a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Slept through the night without waking on a very supportive king bed. Awoke to 6 inches of fresh snow on the large deck with views southwest toward Mt. Princeton. Headed downstairs for a delicious, assorted breakfast that hit the spot with it's sugary-crusted blueberry pancake bake. The owners provided a comfortable environment with great conversation. I felt like I was at home eating breakfast with family! Looking forward to my next stay!

First off, I have no idea what the last review was complaining about and I would take it with a grain of salt. This bed and breakfast is the best B&B I have ever stayed at. Mark and Paz run and amazing place that is very warming and welcoming. Not only were we welcomed with open arms, the service and accommodations made for an extremely comfortable evening. We stayed in the Mt. Princeton room and this accommodation is huge! Plenty of room for 5 people, extremely clean, amazing views of Mt. Princeton, huge bathroom, and large outside deck to watch the sun set and view the native wildlife that frequents the property. I would highly recommend Buffalo Peaks to anyone wanting a unique stay at an affordable rate at a stones throw from all the recreation Buena Vista has to offer. Plus, the homemade breakfast Mark will make for you every morning will probably have you already planning your return trip. A+++++++++++ experience.

Spent one night here in September in the Mt Antero room.
Cons - pretty barren room and the bath was small - shower, no tub, small sink, one small shampoo and one huge bar of Ivory soap. The room had no TV or phone - to watch TV we would have had to go into their family living area. I had to ask to borrow one of their hair dryers as there was none in the room. Our view was of the somewhat junky back yard. We sort of felt like we were at a boarding house rather than a B & B.
Pros - the place appeared clean and the bed was fairly comfortable. Mark and Paz were very friendly and breakfast was good.
All in all - I would have rather stayed at a Best Western - a few more amenities and probably a little cheaper.

Room Tip: If you want anything other than a bed, night stand and a single wooden kitchen chair, do not stay in...
