“Loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2009

Absolutely fantastic on every level. Clean, convenient, hospitable!
Stayed at the Mariott over Jan. 10-17, 2009. Loved the place. The ski shop is in the building. They rent and store your skis and equipment. The lift is literally over a bridge and 50 yards away. Take your skis back at the end of the day. Truly ski in-ski out.

The staff was very helpful. Went on a snow shoe hike with one of the guides. had the best time.

Overall, excellent location for skiing, downtown, everything.

We stayed at the Marriot over Christmas and loved it! They even put a mini Christmas tree in our room (for a fee of course).

It has it's own ski/snowboard rental shop where you'll get a discount as a hotel guest. It's also with in a block of the ski lift.

Great location close to shopping and resturants. You can walk to all locations in town.

The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Their activities department has great activities for the entire family through out the day such as: morning stretch, snowshoeing outings, crafts, crocheting/teas, Wii tournaments, Blackjack tournament, Iron Chef competition, Movie night with popcorn or icecream, cookie decorating, etc. Their fitness room is well outfitted. To walk to the outdoor pool and hot tubs(4) you can walk through the heated garage. To access the pool you swim through a doggy door-like opening, so your things can stay inside and dry.

The rooms are up-to-date and roomy. Two full baths with wonderful large rain-like showerheads. The beds had feather comforters, but were hard beds. It slept 6 people. Had two balconies-but our view was the other building-which was okay. Two flat screened TV and one DVD player (they rent movies too). The master closet is larger than most bathrooms. The kitchen had full sized appliances which we used for most meals. Just like home!

We loved it and would highly recommend it! Enjoy!

We had a great time here. It was definantly one of the greatest experiences I have had. The concierge was very friendly and recommended we use a private SUV provided by Executive Transport.

My family and I used Executive Transport to get here, they were amazing. Nice comfortable ride from Denver International Airport.

Visit them at www.transportdenver.com or Call 720.226.5555.

Well recommended!!!! Hotel and Transportation!!

Thanks to traveladvisor my girlfriend and I cancelled our booking with Breckenridge Lodge and booked the Marriott instead. The location is perfect for Breckenridge, its literally just a couple of hundred feet from the first ski lift. In addition its at the far end of Main Street and ideal for bars, restaurants, etc.

We had breakfast every morning at the Blue Moon cafe opposite the hotel and it was easy to get there.

The hotel itself is not great, its layout is weird and there's nothing here apart from the rooms - but it does have a good gym which was a pleasant surprise. The staff are young people and pleasant enough but the room service was poor and erratic.

The room itself was great, very nice and earns the above average rating. It was well furnished, clean and had a new flatscreen TV and DVD player. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bath/shower was also good.

If you want reasonable accomodation then this is a great place and we would reccomend it.

The front desk customer service was awesome. The one bedroom was very large in comparison to many other timeshares we have stayed in. The trundle bed had 2 very nice thick mattresses and was able to be seperated so my girls didn't have to sleep on top of each other. Having the 2nd bathroom was great. Since construction cannot be done during the winter we were woken up every day at 7:00 to noise. As previous posters have said, the pool area is very average. Location was great to be able to walk to many places. Would recommend for others and would return, perhaps for a winter visit next time.

  • Liked — The size of the unit and the 2nd bathrom
  • Disliked — noise outside

Was ok. No real complaints.

Will try to stick to the facts -
Parking is limited while an adjacent hotel is building a pool. First couple of nights i had to park 1/4 mile away and have them shuttle me around

Had a view if the hotel entry and a parking lot.

Agree with an earlier post about the pool - lots of kids and teens from other hotels sneaking in and hogging the pool and spa. Staff tries to come by and run them off, but not often enough.

Clean. Rooms are large and when they say can sleep 6 they really can sleep 6.

Lots of places to eat very close.

People are friendly enough...no real complaints.

  • Liked — Location was great and room size is great for familes (mom and dad get a private room)
  • Disliked — View lousy.

Hotel is pleasant and well located next to downtown area and ski slopes. Staff is friendly and accomodating. The pool area is substandard, however. There are not enough seats to accomodate everyone that wants to use the pool. It had many teens and young 20s drinking and smoking in there and who probably sneaked in to begin with. It was not family friendly. The room was very nice. The service there was second to none. It is probably best to stay there in the winter months because of its location. In the summer, it is not family friendly.

  • Liked — Location and friendly staff
  • Disliked — Pool was overrun and dirty with cigarettes
