“Incredible convenience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2011

True ski-in, ski-out convenience from 2 lifts--You can ski into one of the buildings!. The other buildings have private ski lockers for each of their rooms, and from the bottom of the Beaver Run Superchair, it's no more than about 100 feet to the lockers, then walk across the street in an enclosed walkway to your rooms. On the premises are multiple hot tubs, indoor/outdoor swimming pool, steam room, sauna, spa, full service restaurant (Spencer's) which is EXCELLENT (all you can eat fork-tender prime rib!). There is also a slopeside cafe (Coppertop) which is better than average, a small grocery store, as well as an Apres-ski bar (Base Nine). A ski rental shop, ski school for kids, game room arcades, and the lift ticket windows are all on the premises. There is enclosed parking for your car, but the resort provides FREE shuttle bus to and from anywhere in town, should you plan on partying too much to drive!. Our room was very nice, and the staff is incredibly nice and helpful--it's apparent they like their job. The only negatives--elevators are slow and too small to handle the traffic at peak times, and you have to pay a daily rate for internet access--bummer.

Room Tip: Ask for a slope side room for the best view.

Just returned today after spending one week at Beaver Run - not to ski but just to be in the middle of the Rockies. Everything was perfect and there were so many skiing that it must have been good for them too. They could ski from the Hotel to the lift!! Arrived after almost 23hrs travelling, was exhausted and the first room I was given was at the back but when I called the Lobby there was absolutely no problem offering me a different room with a view over everything! It had a very comfy bed, kitchenette with microwave, hob, fridge, toaster, coffee maker and even a dishwasher! (The fridge gave up but was replaced on the same day while I was out). The lounge was a good size with table and chairs and long sofabed. Bathroom was good too and great pressure from the shower.(Maybe the installation of a fan there would be a good idea.) Complimentary toiletries and pure white towels. I was in Building 4 and only problem was, with tiredness and effects of the high altitude (living at sealevel !) the stairs by the pool area were difficult to climb! Pity they couldn't put in a lift there. Only other choice was to go by the outside.

The staff were more than helpful. The courtesy coach was great, also the free buses which came often. It was only a short walk into the village but with the altitude I used the buses. I didnt use the hot tubs but they were very popular even when it was snowing and didn't close until almost 11pm. It cost $24 to go up in the chair lift on a "scenic ride" and the view was awesome. The trees were lit up at night and with the snow the place was beautiful.

I sampled the Barbecue,(the atmosphere there on the patio with the music was brilliant), Coppertop, Spencer's breakfast buffet and the Boar's Head carryout in Skywalk. I had no complaints about any of them. The carryout breakfast was very good value! I also had breakfast twice in the Blue Moose just across the road from the bottom of the hill - not luxury surroundings but great breakfasts and friendly staff.

Only downside was the 5% resort fee which was added on to everything but I would have no hesitation in going back. It took a while to find my way around - a few more signs would be helpful. The Colorado Mountain Express from the Airport was so convenient.

We stayed at the beaver run resort in breckenride co and had a great time. The hotel s at the base of peak nine with access to peaks10, 8 and 7.
The rooms were clean and comfortable and made up every day. All the hotel staff we encountered were pleasant and more than willing to help. The skiing was incredible, the terrain offers never ending trails, one better than the next. We throughly enjoyed the apres ski at the Copper Top Grill in the hotel. Everday there was a guitar player singing popluar songs everyone new and enjoyed. The only bad thing about the hotel was
Spencers where we had what was probably our worst meal ever. Stay away. Otherwise the place was great and would definetly go back.

Booked through Ski Village Resorts - room 3-6450. Stay away! Run down, clogged sinks, broken toilet, no house keeping, no bathroom exhaust, hard beds, squeeky doors, slow heat, closet doors fell off, moldy caulk, poor lighting, distorted TV picture, broken drawers, very dated decore (except for kitchen), not enough elevators (long waits)... poor value though a great location. We were disappointed and slept very poorly.

Dear Kirk 1616,
We are very sorry to hear that you had such a horrible experience while staying here on property at Beaver Run Resort. To clarify, the unit you stayed in is rented through an alternate management company called Ski Village Resorts and not through our on property management company Bridge Hospitality – commonly referred to as the Beaver Run Rental Program. There are approximately ten units here on property where the owners have elected to rent through Ski Village Resorts. It is entirely up to the owners on who they decide to have manage their units. Most find it easier to go through the Beaver Run Rental Program as they are the sole employer on property which allows both the unit owner and the guests who stay here easy access to our housekeeping and maintenance departments – thus bypassing all the inconveniences mentioned above. Essentially yes, you stayed at Beaver Run Resort, but unfortunately you did not get an accurate picture of all Beaver Run has to offer. We will be informing Ski Village Resorts of your displeasure and hope that you will come back to Beaver Run and see it through an entirely different set of eyes.

Beaver Run was an awesome place to vacation! We had a group of 11 members ranging in age from 7 to 65. Everyone had a great time! I loved the convenience of rentals located onsite, and the ski in/ski out access to 2 lifts was awesome! The kiddos loved the pool and arcade area! We loved the outdoor hot tubs! Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay and we will be back!

As someone who lives and works just an hour and a half away in Denver, it was so nice to escape the city for a weekend and head to one of my favorite mountain towns…Breckenridge, CO.

I stayed at the Beaver Run Resort with my mom and sister in a premium 2-bedroom condo that was huge and newly renovated in building 4. It had all of the modern amenities which included a full kitchen (complete with stainless steel appliances), huge laundry room with a washer/dryer, full dining area and living space in addition to two bedrooms with king beds, luxurious bedding and topnotch bathrooms. Each morning we sipped our coffee and made a tasty breakfast for ourselves as we looked out onto the ski slope.

The location of the resort was priceless! The resort does offer a free shuttle service, but because of the close proximity we chose to walk down into town ourselves to take advantage of the beautiful weather and great shopping. As a ski-in/ski-out hotel, we walked by the resort’s ski lift and you couldn’t help but feel the energetic vibe that was radiating from the music and people - it made us wish that we’d brought our snow gear!

Whether you ski/snowboard or just need some mountain air and relaxation, I would definitely recommend the Beaver Run Resort to my fellow Colorado “staycationers” and ALL potential tourists that are looking for a place to stay when coming to Breckenridge.

Nestled against the Breckenridge ski area, Beaver Run is the ideal location if you are skiing at Breck, or just want to watch other people ski while you stand on the balcony sipping tea in your pajamas. The two bedrooms (upstairs) were large and the beds were comfortable. The fold-out couch allowed us to sleep all 8 people easily. The full kitchen and living area (downstairs) were plenty big for four adults and four kids. We were surprised and delighted to see a wood fireplace, which made our evening of wine and games pretty cozy.

The indoor/outdoor pool was a hit with the kids, and the steam room, dry sauna and multiple outdoor hot tubs were a hit with us grownups. We weren't skiing, so we sat in the hot tub while the rest of the world was skiing, and we had the place to ourselves. We spent some time in the game room, which houses a small putt-putt course that kept the kids entertained (for free) for a while.

Our car stayed in the secured-entry garage most of the trip - safe and out of the snow. There is transportation into town, but we only went into town after we'd checked out of the hotel, so we just drove. Parking on Main Street is tough, but if you go one street to the East, there is plenty of parking.
