“Breckenridge best kept lodging secret”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

This is a very nice clean hotel in Breckenridge. Jake will take care of you. Our room #3 nice size, with fireplace, very nice style king bed & furniture, with frig, microwave, coffeepot,& a balcony, with view of the mountains. Parking in the front of the hotel. You can walk down the hill to town which is 3 blocks away, which is fine during the day, but in the winter at night could be tricky on the snow/ice on the side walk. With the dry air it is normal that you will have to run your humidifier which is supplied for you in your room. If you read other reviews I will confirm that you will have to carry your luggage up the stairway to your floor. Note that rooms 1 thru 6 are on the 3rd floor ! Some rooms face Ski Hill Road and you will hear traffic noise, due to that this is the main road to Peak # 7 & 8. The shuttle system works great, & you can catch the shuttle 50 yards down the hill which comes 5 times during the hour 7 will take you to Peak 7 & 8. You can ski back on 4 o'clock trail to the hotel. Only one note there should be a desk or table in our room. WE enjoyed our stay!

Room Tip: Ski Way has a very nice web site to help you select the room style you would like to book.

I found this place on TripAdvisor when planning a visit to my daughter, who just moved to the area. First, it had free parking, which I'm told is not very common in Breckenridge. Moreover, it was conveniently located, with a free bus stop just about 1/2 block away. Lounge areas for guests were comfortable and spacious. Tea, coffee, and other beverages were provided. Although I did not use it, a hot tub was also available.

Overall, a clean, comfortable, up to date decor. It was very hot and the room did not have a thermostat to adjust the heat; I spoke with the owner, who admitted they had some issues with that during the winter, but he did adjust it to a more comfortable level.

They do not have someone at the front desk 24 hours a day, but that did not cause any problems for me. One complaint...no soap or shampoo in the bath.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a weekend in Feb. Nice little place, close to town, ski in but not really ski out. Room was comfortable but heating system is very dry! Bring your own food, but they have cookies, hot chocolate, tea and water on the second floor. Stay in one of the suites away from the road-it's noisy.

The room we stayed in was excellent. Two sinks, huge bed, fireplace, sofa, and beautiful wood furniture. The hot tubs and hot apple cider were just what I needed after a day of skiing. The mountain was easily accessible and we skied back to the front door. I stumbled upon this place when my friend recommended it to me. I'll be sure to mention it to any friend that I have heading to Breckenridge.

My partner and I wanted to get away from Denver for a night and stayed at the this lodge. I must say we were very satisfied. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Big king beds and cozy gas fireplaces. They also have two hot tubs which are HOT and welcoming unlike many that are not kept warm enough. The staff was friendly and it's close to town too. I would not hesitate in recommending Skiway. Enjoy!

I was only able to stay at the Skiway for one night but was very pleasantly surprised by the quiet, close proximity to the slopes and all the happenings on Main Street in Breck. The lodge is very well kept, cozy and secluded; the perfect mix for a weekend get-a-way in the mountains. I will certainly recommend the Skiway to all my friends and family.

Skiway Lodge is my new favorite spot! It has everything; incredible service (Jake in particular is really very helpful!) HOTTUB, refrigerators, wifi, coffee makers, (and my favorite!!) a fireplace! This lodge is in THE perfect location. it is a short walk from all the bars on Main Street and a short bus ride from the lifts. Despite it's location it feels very secluded and cozy. There are common areas (on the second floor) with big sofas to hang and enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, and hot cocoa! I really enjoyed my stay here, and would defiantly recommend Skiway!
