“Take your ear plugs....”

We booked this B&B based on all the wonderful reviews. Everything that was stated as good in the reviews held true......but something that was ommitted by everyone is to let you know that the soundproofing/insulation of the building is terrible. We stayed in a ground floor room and were disturbed every night by the noise coming from upstairs rooms. If, as in our case, the people above you stay up late, get up in the middle of the night, or get up earlier than you, then you will get very little sleep unless you take ear plugs.......you can hear everything. Also, the plumbing noises of the pipework in action were very disturbing going on and off all night.
Perhaps if you stayed in a room on the first floor rather than the ground you could avoid being disturbed by other guests, however I am sure the plumbing noises would be the same....
It was such a shame as everything else was great. Based on the fact we got very little sleep during our 5 night stay, we would not consider staying there again. Maybe they can do something about it.... I am amazed that they have had no complaints. Oh yes and one other small but unpleasant fact; our bathroom smelled like cat urine....perhaps a previous guest had a cat with them and it was just our bad luck.

“One of the Best Stays”

We stayed here for 4 days at the beginning of March 07 for 4 days of skiing. Our stay at the AT Inn ranks as one of the best accomodation experiences we have encountered in our travels. The owners and staff were extremely hospitable and welcoming. The room (we stayed in the Halfmoon Pass room) was clean, comfortable, and cute. The breakfasts were very enjoyable (and filling!), and the happy hour of wine and snacks in front of the fire was always most welcome at the end of a day of skiing. The main dining/living room has wonderful views overlooking the town with the mountains acting as a backdrop. The inn itself is a very attractive log cabin style building decorated in an appropriate western/mountain style theme. Skiers are provided for through the use of the heated ski & boot storage room. The inn is located at the south end of town on the free shuttle bus route (which we used twice daily for getting to the slopes and restaurants). It's about a 5-10 minute walk downhill to the central part of Main Street for shops and restaurants.
This is an excellent choice for people who are perhaps a little hesitant of B&Bs. There is ample opportunity to socialize with the other guests if you want to (e.g. the happy hour), equally, it's a place that respects your privacy.
A quick restaurant recommendation: we thoroughly enjoyed our meal at The Cellar. A little pricey, but well worth it.

We stayed at the Allaire Timbers for six nights at the end of January and didn't really want to leave! The inn is beautiful and spacious, with plenty of large windows to make the most of a great view across the town and peaks of Breckenridge. Make sure you take some time out to sit in the hot tub as it gets dark and watch the lights twinkling below.

It will take you around 20 minutes to walk into the centre of Breckenridge, but if the altitude has left you out of breath the free bus leaves twice an hour and takes a few minutes to get to Main Street.

All the staff are really friendly and were happy to give us information on the local area. We looked forward to finding out what the hot breakfast dish would be each morning - no soggy eggs and bacon here! There is also a selection of pastries and fruit each morning including the famous homemade granola.

When a leak upstairs left our room partially flooded Sue and Kendra did everything they could to alleviate the situation as soon as possible - truly great service.

“Great breakfasts, beautiful building, helpful hosts”

Allaire Timbers Inn

We loved the Allaire Timbers Inn. The breakfasts were delcicious, offering a variety in case you were starving or wanted a light breakfast. I especially loved the homemade granola. Both Sue and Kendra were very helpful and friendly. They helped us plan our activities and took the time to get to know us. We were also pleasently surprised to learn of the happy hour they have in the winter season, offering wine and beer and a snack before we went out. The photos show how beautiful it is... so cozy and clean. The Free Ride bus in Breck makes is easy to get to Main Street from Allaire if it is too cold to walk. We thorougly enjoyed our stay at Allaire. It was also our first trip to Colorado and we will definetly return. Allaire is awesome and we would recommend it to our friends and family.

“Absolutely Fabulous!”

Allaire Timbers Inn

Nov 30, 2006

My husband and I used trip advisor to help us find a B&B in Colorado, and we decided to try Allaire Timbers Inn based on the many positive ratings. This inn was absolutely perfect! It was soo clean (which matters a lot to me). The room we stayed in was very cozy -with its own deck. The common room is fabulous with its log-cabin feel and stone fireplace. The food was delicious everyday, and the tea and cookies in the evening were a wonderful treat. The two hostesses were very pleasant and offered information about the surrounding area as well as a variety of local hiking trails. You can walk to town from the inn, but there is also a free bus if you prefer. Overall, it was a terrific experience, and we would definitely go back for future vacations!
