We had a great time spending the evenings with these kids from down under. They party hard and ski even harder.
Great hostel, friendly people, big breakfast, Good athmosphere

every nigh we had something diferent to do or talk about, We share good conversation and a few beers served at the front desk

Brand new building with beautifull views and huge windows facing the mountains
Would recommend to anyone from 15 to 70 years old

Cannot speak highly enough of the place, stayed for 2 weeks recently and had an incredible time. All the staff are great, Dan especially. The place is insane, it looks even better than the photos! I stayed in a 6 bed dorm and it was by far one of the nicest hostel rooms I've ever stayed in- beds are super comfortable and each bed has its own lamp and power station complete with separate USB ports. Towels and toiletries are provided which is a nice touch. Breakfast is sooo good, hot items change every morning so you're never bored. I will say that I thought the dorm rooms could do with another light (could often be dim at times, but fine with one of the top bed lamps turned on), and it's useful to know that cooking facilities for guests are limited- you have use of a small fridge, a microwave and a toaster. Whilst it would be nice to have access to the kitchen, as long as you're aware of this you can plan accordingly.
But those are really the only two things I could pick at, it truly is an amazing stay and I cannot recommend it enough. The location is great- less than 10 min walk to the lifts and main street, and the bus stop is right outside the hostel.

I stopped off at the Bivvi for a night. For my $46 bucks, I got a comfortable bed, a hot tub, a cold beer, a great view from my room, and a great breakfast. The place was clean, well kept, and beautifully decorated. Can't say enough good things about the place all the guys who run it.

My wife and I are in our 30's and weren't sure about a "Hostel". However, this property is more of a hotel/hostel. There is an upstairs for bunks. Range of age was 70-21. It was really fun, nice view of mountains, and close to downtown but very quiet. Breakfast was fantastic and the manager Dan was very helpful. You can't beat the price or fireplace. Great bed as well.

Room Tip: King bed was great.

When we stayed at the Bivvi, we were blown away by the atmosphere. It really felt like we were returning to a ski home of our own. There was a warm fireplace roaring, a beautiful lobby that doubles as a living room and cold Colorado brews on tap. The bunk beds in the communal rooms were very comfortable and definitely larger than a standard twin.

What more do you need when you are in the mountains? A warm fire, good stories and a comfy bed.

Overall the property seems very nice and well maintained, however we found several things in our room a bit lacking. Most annoying, the internet hardly worked at all. It took many times trying to connect, and once connected, the speed was terribly slow and kept dropping off. The tv didn't work very well, as the set top box was slow and un-responsive. The fireplace remote didn't work and it had to be turned on manually by removing the grill piece and reaching inside to find the right cord. The sink in our room did not drain well at all - after washing your hands, it took several minutes for the sink full of dirty water to drain down. Lastly, the water pressure in the shower wasn't very good (although this is common at other hotels). The staff was very friendly and helpful, and like I said, overall the property seems to be clean and well maintained. It was just all those little things that added up and started to get a bit annoying. We had one of the private 'suites', so I guess we were expecting a bit more for our $280/night.

We stayed in the Bivvy for 2 nights in June as a part of our honeymoon,we had a private room with a balcony looking out into the woods.
It is the best hostel we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in quite a few all around the world,I actually think they are doing them self a bit of a dis-service calling them selves a hostel, as it was more like a boutique hotel.
It has great decor, spotlessly clean, a hot tub on the main balcony, roaring wood fire in the main room and a great help your self style breakfast.
It is in a great location just up the hill from the main street, a nice 5/10 minute walk or you can use the free bus service that Breckenridge has.
All the staff were friendly and helpful, it was more like staying in somebody's home rather than a hostel/hotel.
The only thing i could fault it for was the room we had was a little bit dark, could do with a main ceiling light, but that said it wouldnt stop us staying at the Bivvi again, which we hope to soon
