“Beautiful views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

Beautiful view from the windows of our condo. Walk to shops and restaurants. Great location for those coming to ski. Very clean the housekeepers did a great job everyday and were very courteous. Well stocked kitchenette.

Room Tip: Ask for a mountain view room rather then street view.

We are owners in the Hyatt Vacation Club. Our first visit to Breckenridge. Found this place to be clean, comfortable, centrally located, great staff. Check-in was quick and professional. We stayed in a two bedroom unit. Unit was very clean, and housekeeping visited every day. When we got to our room and tried to open the blinds, the blinds were broken. Reported problem to front desk and the maintenance man had them replaced with new blinds by the time we were finished unpacking. Staff was very responsive to all issues we had with our room.

We stayed at the Hyatt at the end of September. It was just perfect weather. Nice and sunny during the day with warm temps and cooler (55-60) temps at night. We slept with our sliding door cracked open a bit to get the fresh air. We had a studio suite, huge bathroom, tile floors, shower and sink area. Everything you could need to "live" there is provided. Dishes, flatware, microwave, frig, dishwasher, coffeemaker. Big comfy bed, duvet, tons of pillows, plush bath towels were quite nice. We enjoyed the fireplace in the morning when we woke up! So cozy! The location was key for us. We walked everywhere each night and visited different shops and restaurants. It rained for our second night and when we woke up in the morning and walked across the street to have breakfast at the Blue Moose, we looked up and there was snow on the mountain! So cool to see it for the first snow. Parking is underground and very convenient and safe. Have to drive through two gates to get to parking spaces. Elevator is right there to get to rooms. Absolutely loved our stay and would definitely return.

What can I say, it's a Hyatt!! Although we did notice it's now run by Resort Quest. Not sure what that's all about. A motel 6 this is NOT. Everything here is first class. From the comfy bed, pillows and fluffy towels, to everything being provided tom an ice maker to laundry detergent. And don't forget the Portico soaps and lotions!! But NO duvets??? C'mon this is Colorado!!!! SMH (see my other reviews about the duvets) Incredible views, and top notch service. But if I must complain about something, I can't say I'm a fan of the coffee maker. Sure it's an expensive fancy coffee maker, but you have to totally dismantle it to clean it out and it leaves the nasty coffee residue on the inside lid that you have to wipe off before the next batch.

Room Tip: Request 4th floor on the mountain side for the best views.

Hyatt Main Street Condos are a wonderful place to stay. The location is perfect can walk about anywhere you want to go in out or to peak 8 lift. The condos are very nice sized, even the studios. Bathrooms are huge. You will not be disappointed if you stay here summer or winter. Views are amazing!

Tried a get-away for our 47th anniversary and since our favorite place to ski was always Breck we tried this Hyatt - you can't go wrong with a Hyatt property - VERY WRONG. Stayed there 7/24 to 7/27. We would have checked out or changed rooms to the mtn. side but not allowed?? and hotel would not refund remaining nights. Our room was on the front of property overlooking a plaza/shops and one block off of Main St. (4th floor). Directly across was a very busy bar with outside seating. Their parties started about 7pm. Also there was a bandstand directly below but thankfully no concert any of the nights. You could actually hear the trucks out on I-70.
On checking into this one bedroom condo we noticed the stuffiness and tried to open the two windows which were jammed. Called maintenance and was told the windows needed parts-they could hardly open. With very little air coming in and no A/C it was really, really hot and extremely noise. Found a very small box fan that sounded like a jet engine.
With no A/C, windows that hardly opened and the noise of the bar patrons our three nights were really miserable. Would have left and gone home (live outside of Denver) but we did some Jeep exploring up Baraess (sp) Pass which was beautiful.
The hotel is clean and employees friendly but not worth the $$$ we paid. Found out on check-out the condo was a time share and the owners were trying to sell. We know why!!
DO NOT stay here unless you can rent on the mtn side.

Check-in went very smoothly, and we were up in our two-bedroom unit in 10 minutes. We were given a room at the East end of the building which is next to the Main street. No AC means we had to open up the windows for ventilation. [Side note: Not complaining of lack of AC...In fact, we're not sure why you need it at 9000+ feet elevation. The air is already cool and DRY.] After taking a quick travel-recovery nap, I called down to the front desk to ask for a room change due to the street noise of this particular unit. Our request was accommodated graciously, and we moved to a top floor unit at the West end of the building which had an awesome view overlooking the pool, slopes and Maggie pond.

Amenities:
The shared pool is located on the adjacent property (rhymes with "Harriott"). Very large with four hot tubs. There are also an additional three hot tubs just outside of the fitness center (on property).
Free movie rentals from a Redbox-style machine. You can also book the small theater room to watch the movies, but reserve early.
Washer and dryer in the room was extremely convenient.
Underground parking is a bit of a maze and requires you to go through TWO key-activated gates...in and out. There are shopping carts placed at the parking lot entrances to help transport groceries to your room.
Beds are clean and comfy.
Daily maid service.
Daily newspaper.
Nice stainless steel kitchen appliances.
Humidifiers in every bedroom.
The concierge knows all...stop by here if you want to get a good idea of things to do in the area. Some nice discount deals also, although you could probably find similar deals by shopping online before you arrive.

Very minor issues:
Main bedroom had a small tube TV, and its remote contained dead batteries.
Some of the mini blinds no longer operated smoothly.
One of the humidifiers didn't work right away.

We arrived during the shoulder season. Not a ton of people about, but enough to get a good vibe of the place. This hotel is in an excellent location as a home base for all types of activities...shopping, biking, hiking, sightseeing, rafting, dining or simply relaxing. It's not quite at the same level of other Hyatt properties we've visited, but we'd stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms on the West side are subject to noise from the eatery and foot traffic below. Rooms on the Eas...
