“Nice early Summer getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2012

Check-in went very smoothly, and we were up in our two-bedroom unit in 10 minutes. We were given a room at the East end of the building which is next to the Main street. No AC means we had to open up the windows for ventilation. [Side note: Not complaining of lack of AC...In fact, we're not sure why you need it at 9000+ feet elevation. The air is already cool and DRY.] After taking a quick travel-recovery nap, I called down to the front desk to ask for a room change due to the street noise of this particular unit. Our request was accommodated graciously, and we moved to a top floor unit at the West end of the building which had an awesome view overlooking the pool, slopes and Maggie pond.

Amenities:
The shared pool is located on the adjacent property (rhymes with "Harriott"). Very large with four hot tubs. There are also an additional three hot tubs just outside of the fitness center (on property).
Free movie rentals from a Redbox-style machine. You can also book the small theater room to watch the movies, but reserve early.
Washer and dryer in the room was extremely convenient.
Underground parking is a bit of a maze and requires you to go through TWO key-activated gates...in and out. There are shopping carts placed at the parking lot entrances to help transport groceries to your room.
Beds are clean and comfy.
Daily maid service.
Daily newspaper.
Nice stainless steel kitchen appliances.
Humidifiers in every bedroom.
The concierge knows all...stop by here if you want to get a good idea of things to do in the area. Some nice discount deals also, although you could probably find similar deals by shopping online before you arrive.

Very minor issues:
Main bedroom had a small tube TV, and its remote contained dead batteries.
Some of the mini blinds no longer operated smoothly.
One of the humidifiers didn't work right away.

We arrived during the shoulder season. Not a ton of people about, but enough to get a good vibe of the place. This hotel is in an excellent location as a home base for all types of activities...shopping, biking, hiking, sightseeing, rafting, dining or simply relaxing. It's not quite at the same level of other Hyatt properties we've visited, but we'd stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms on the West side are subject to noise from the eatery and foot traffic below. Rooms on the Eas...

Location, location location! Breckenridge is gorgeous! This resort was a perfect place to rest after a long days hike and rejuvinate for a night out on the town! Everyone in Breck is SO friendly! The food in town is great - Fun local watering holes - This resort was so comfortable, clean and accomodating -The scenery is breathtakng! We rented a car and arrived in Breck in the middle of the night so it was such a wonderful surprise to wake up and realize we were entirely surrounded by gorgeous ice capped mountains. If you love fresh air (I live in the city so I crave it) and adventure, this is a great place to visit in the spring/summer. Lots to do: Hike, whitewater raft, zipline, etc. Some great trails ranging from easy to moderately challenging are just a short drive away - about 15 minutes! The resort even has a free shuttle that will take you and pick you up. We would hike all day and grab drinks with the locals at night. We met a lot of great people and made a lot of great memories. Definately will be going back and definately would stay at Main Street again. BEWARE: Altitude sickness is a real thing though, definately drink LOTS of water during your stay if your from sea level like we are :)
Oh, and visit Spice Merchant and buy the Black Truffle Salt, you will want to put it on everything!

This is a well appointed property, as are most hyatt vacation clubs. Keep your room key handy because you will need it 2 or3 times since the property is on lockdown. The biggest thing that kept us from rating it as high as some is the noise level. With no AC you need to keep the window open. That works fine until the drunks come out between 11 pm and 2 am screaming their fool heads off. It is well located and the service was fine, but didn't sleep through the night once during our three night stay.

We had reserved a three bedroom unit and for some reason were given a studio. When brought to the attention of the staff it was eventually remedied and we were given a two bedroom unit which was fine. Jessica at HGPCS was a HUGE help in getting this resolved. The units themselves are great and we would definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

I love this vacation hotel. It sits in an awesome location in Breckenridge, nice ammenities, and the Hyatt style that you can trust. Daily maid service is available, which is something that some vacation properties do not provide on a daily basis. The ski valent and proximity is all the stuff that makes this place wonderful. But, that's where it ends. The advertisement of use of the Pioneer Club is a bit of an oversale given nothing ever happens in the Pioneer Club, so you will need to leave property for any entertainment or food service. Luckily, downstairs there are a couple of bar/pub like spots and across the street there are plenty of food locations if going far isn't your cup of tea.

The bottom line is that Breckenridge is a small town and nothing is far away and the resort will bus you to just about anywhere you want to go. This is a solid, clean, home-away-from-home that will make you happy. Have no fear about booking this hotel.

This is our timeshare so we were able to go there for very little points but you can also stay there without being an owner. Beautiful Hotel and awesome mountain view. Very updated kitchen and great jacuzzi tub. Convenient to have a washer and dryer next to kitchen and free movie rentals were a plus. Nice layout of room, very comfortable to watch TV and have the fireplace going while it was snowing outside in May!! nice surpise and great change in the weather we just left in Southern California where it was already 90 degrees. We were there during "Mud Season" so it was very quiet and not all of the stores and ALOT of restaraunts were not open but the ones that were are pretty good.Very touristy. Nice to just talk to the locals without the crowds. , I would recommend this hotel. Very centrally located and easy to walk to everything. The only bad part was the conciergen was no where to be found, called and looked several times. Do the research on your own or ask the locals. Great town. First time there, we will definently be back!! Go on sidetrip to Silverthorne only about 20 minutes and they have great outlets there including Columbia. Dillon is also great. The Dillion Dam Brewery has the best French Onion Soup in town.

Room Tip: Make sure to get one with either a pool or mountian view to really enjoy the beauty of the area.

We enjoyed our stay in Room 4203. We had a mountain view room which also overlooked the pond, the pool, and a couple of ugly maintenance type buildings. Our two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit was spacious and updated with stainless-steel appliances, comfortable beds and bedding, and nice seating in the living room. The lobby area was small, but the "club" room was large with game tables, a fireplace, and plenty of comfortable chairs and sofas. The month of May is not the best time to enjoy Breckenridge; many restaurants were closed, and it was too cold to enjoy the pool. However, we did enjoy the hot tubs. The front desk person, Jake, was friendly and efficient. But, the concierge, who was less than helpful, gave me the impression that I was bothering her. The housekeeping staff was very nice. Allthough, I am a fan of Breckenridge, I prefer the Hyatt Vacation Club residences at Beaver Creek and Aspen which offer more luxury, activities, and amenities.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the pool, pond, and mountain.
