Check-in went very smoothly, and we were up in our two-bedroom unit in 10 minutes. We were given a room at the East end of the building which is next to the Main street. No AC means we had to open up the windows for ventilation. [Side note: Not complaining of lack of AC...In fact, we're not sure why you need it at 9000+ feet elevation. The air is already cool and DRY.] After taking a quick travel-recovery nap, I called down to the front desk to ask for a room change due to the street noise of this particular unit. Our request was accommodated graciously, and we moved to a top floor unit at the West end of the building which had an awesome view overlooking the pool, slopes and Maggie pond.
The shared pool is located on the adjacent property (rhymes with "Harriott"). Very large with four hot tubs. There are also an additional three hot tubs just outside of the fitness center (on property).
Free movie rentals from a Redbox-style machine. You can also book the small theater room to watch the movies, but reserve early.
Washer and dryer in the room was extremely convenient.
Underground parking is a bit of a maze and requires you to go through TWO key-activated gates...in and out. There are shopping carts placed at the parking lot entrances to help transport groceries to your room.
Beds are clean and comfy.
Daily maid service.
Nice stainless steel kitchen appliances.
Humidifiers in every bedroom.
The concierge knows all...stop by here if you want to get a good idea of things to do in the area. Some nice discount deals also, although you could probably find similar deals by shopping online before you arrive.
Very minor issues:
Main bedroom had a small tube TV, and its remote contained dead batteries.
Some of the mini blinds no longer operated smoothly.
One of the humidifiers didn't work right away.
We arrived during the shoulder season. Not a ton of people about, but enough to get a good vibe of the place. This hotel is in an excellent location as a home base for all types of activities...shopping, biking, hiking, sightseeing, rafting, dining or simply relaxing. It's not quite at the same level of other Hyatt properties we've visited, but we'd stay here again.
