“Perfect Place to stay in Breckenridge!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

We stayed here for 9 nights in August. 2 adults, 2 kids age 11 and 14.
The location was perfect, very close to downtown Breckenridge(Main Street). The kids were able to walk downtown easily.
Very quiet area. No traffic.
The 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath unit we stayed in was great! Very clean! Washer/dryer in unit was very convenient. Nice Large kitchen, Fireplace, living room and 2 decks.

Access to pools/hot tub within walking distance was great! Hot tubs at the lodge were very nice also.

The staff was very helpful and friendly.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Breckenridge.

We stayed here for three nights in #523. It was spacious, clean and bright! Awesome price, a nice short walk to town and the staff are fantastic! A great place to have a family reunion. I loved that it was quiet and the setting was beautiful. The thing I liked least was all of the stairs but not enough to give it less than an excellent review.

Our family has used the Wedgewood Lodge for our last four reunion gatherings over 3-4 year intervals. The lodge has served our reunion needs perfectly. Our gatherings include 40-60 people who all use the rooms at the Wedgewood. Over our three or four day reunion, we use the lodge's assembly room frequently. We use the room for our morning breakfast and gathering and at night for supper and our nightly activities. We have had free range to organize the room as needed to play games, utilize the couches as needed to view performances, and add tables and chairs for our meals. It is a multi-purpose room in every sense. The large outdoor patio also served us well.

Teresa is in charge of group sales and has been a constant source of assistance and service through our times at Wedgewood lodge. We have hit her with many questions and requests over the years and she has always been able to accomodate our group and has done it with a friendly attitude. She has made the task of organizing this part of our reunion very simple. I should also note that Brigette (I think this was her name) was very friendly and helpful to us on this trip which occurred in late-July.

In summary, the facilities and staff at Wedgewood Lodge have met and exceeded our expectations all four times we've visited. We look forward to coming back in another three or four years.

We stayed at the Wedgewood Lodge for four nights, July 18 – 21, 2013, during the weekend of my son’s wedding. The individual condos were beautiful and well equipped, and the enclosed parking was an added bonus. While there, we used the big meeting room as the site for our rehearsal dinner, and it was absolutely perfect! It was so convenient being able to host the dinner at the same place that we were staying. The meeting room there at the Wedgewood is large and comfortable and really was exactly what we needed. Having access to the studio condo directly across the hall from the party room made it very convenient for us to prepare all of our food, and store all of our extra supplies, without interfering with the ambiance of the room itself. We had 80-some people in attendance, and there was plenty of space for the eleven round tables that we used. We also had a 14 foot long table (an 8-foot and a 6-foot table combined) for the food, another 6-foot table for gluten free food, a round table for the wine and an 8-foot table for a large picture board. Even with all of that in the room, there was still plenty of space for people to mill around and visit, and besides the eating tables, there was lots of comfy couch and chair space for people to sit and visit. The attached outside deck was an added bonus being that we were blessed with beautiful weather that weekend. Everything was so perfect, and we couldn’t have hoped for anything more.

One of the big reasons why everything went so smoothly for us was all of the help that we received from Teresa Zube, who handles reservations and groups at the Wedgewood Lodge. Right from the very beginning, after our first visit with her, we knew that she was really listening to us and was truly concerned with providing us with what we needed. She never made us feel like we were bothering her when we would call with “just one more question”. She assured us that we could arrange the room in any way that we wanted and that she would see to it that we had whatever tables, chairs, etc. that we needed. And while on the subject of tables and chairs, I must comment that having those provided for us by the Wedgewood was a real benefit. Many of the other options that we explored would have involved renting tables and chairs from an outside company, which would have added one more complication to our already busy plans. At the Wedgewood, and working with Teresa, it was so easy for us to say, “We think we want 10 round tables, and 2 eight foot long tables. No, we better make that 11 round tables, and let’s throw one more in for the wine table, and instead of two eight foot tables, let’s have an eight and a six foot table, plus one more six-footer for the gluten free table. Oh, and we’ll need an eight foot table for the picture board too. Oops, sorry, we forgot to tell you about that one!!” And all we got from her was, “No problem!” Teresa got the room all set up for us, and then we said, “Oh, you know, I don’t think we want it like that. Could you move this over here, and that over there, and take that coffee table out, and move these wing chairs over here, and get those book shelves out of the room completely and . . . . and . . . . . and . . . . ,“ and again, all we got from her was, “No problem!” She allowed us to get into the room earlier than we expected, which helped us more than you will ever know. And she didn’t make us feel rushed or pressured to vacate the room the next day when we were doing our after-party clean-up. And on top of all that, she even gave me a sympathetic ear as I was crying because my corn muffins were all sticky!

Quite a few of our family members and wedding guests all stayed at the Wedgewood, and it was so nice being able to again use that party room over the next couple of days as a central gathering place. There were plenty of nice comfy couches and chairs to lounge in as we all met to share stories and laughs. We also gathered to share a couple of big family meals together out on the deck. There were two brand new grills out there that we were able to use for cooking burgers and chicken, and they even provided the spatula and other bbq tools that we needed. It was so much nicer to meet and share meals there, where we could mix and mingle, rather than having to go to restaurants. It really worked out perfectly for our big group.

The Wedgewood Lodge was a fantastic, conveniently located place for us to stay during our son’s wedding weekend, and the large meeting room there was the perfect place for our rehearsal dinner. With all of Teresa Z’s help, everything turned out exactly the way we had dreamed it would.

Mary,

You and Don were SUCH a pleasure to work with! You all did an amazing job decorating the room and serving up the food. It looked like all of your guests had a blast and the sticky corn muffins surely went unnoticed! The food smelled delicious! We were happy to have your family and friends here to celebrate your son and then daughter-in-law to be. Working with folks like you is one of the reasons I love my job.

Thanks so much for the feedback and please let me know if you are headed up this way for a mountain getaway. We'd love to have you back!

Many happy years to the newlyweds! Hope to see you soon!

We chose this resort based upon other reviews and the deal we found - what a great find!! We stayed in a studio loft #403 and LOVED it! The studio was quiet, but had a nice view of the mountain (snowflake lift). Even though there is no air conditioning, windows on both ends of the studio open to pull lovely mountain air through. The kids loved the swimming pool and we enjoyed the hot tubs. Community lobby is a neat touch, with games and Dvd's to borrow. We will definitely be back to Wedgewood.

This is definitely a hidden gem in Breck. It was a last minute get-away with some girlfriends and we're already trying to plan our next girls weekend there. We were pleasantly surprised. Rooms are big enough, clean and have everything you need. Great location...easy walk to main street for restaurants and shops. Looking forward to going back!
