We had a fantastic meal with a great view. The service was excellent, the food even better and the atmosphere was just right for good conversation.

We dined at Top of the World on a snowy January night. We could not have asked for for a more wonderful dining experience. We had one night out without the kids and what a great choice we made. The food was terrific with wild game options and some more traditional fare. The venison tart appetizer is to die for. Our favorite entree was the elk medallions (though the seared ostrich was excellent too). The wine list has some great but unusual choices with an international flair, which is exactly what we look for in a list.If the snow isnt swirling around the windows the view is probably magnificent, but we kind of liked the cocoon effect of the snow coated windows. The service was attentive but not smothering. It is a 10 minute drive up the mountain from downtown Breck but worth venturing out of the village. All in all an excellent choice.

Wonderful dining experience. The view is breathtaking and a beautiful backdrop to an excellent meal. The menu provided a variety of dishes, and our server was very knowledgable about each dish, as well as the extensive wine list. The casual atmosphere made for a relaxing, enjoyable evening. Live music was also great! Executive Chef Brandon Farr also took the time to check on our table. Food was brilliantly presented and tasted delicious, especially the lobster with my filet medallions. Many unique items on the menu. We tried the Venison appetizer and it too was wonderful!

If you want to have a top notch dining experience, go to Top of the World - this was our second visit and it was even better than the first!

Service: is absolutely fantastic. They are very attentive but not so much that it spoils a romantic evening.

Food: 'Wow' is a good description. We would consider the food 'fine dining' for quality - and the portions are very reasonable. There is really something for everyone - from Elk Tenderloin to Ahi to Steak and Potatoes. (Go with the Steak Diane if you like steak!). They also have some rockin Martini's and a Tapas menu.

Atmosphere: The night we were there, they had a guitar player strumming out some cool background music. Enough to enjoy but not interfere with conversation.

Couple of tips:

- Depending on time of year, go early so you have enough daylight to enjoy the view out of the large windows overlooking the valley below
- Top of the World provides a courtesy van to pick you and and drop you off. It does take them time to get to you so make sure you have a comfortable place to wait for the van when being picked up.
- Request a window seat!
- Don't rush through this - make it a night out. Get a great bottle of wine, sit and relax.
