My wife and I had reservations at Hearthstone on Saturday, March 1. It was certainly a dining experience I could recommend to anyone.
We started with the fried lobster appetizer, which was wonderful. My wife ordered the crab trout for her entree, and I chose the signature blackberry elk entree. Our waitress, Jill, was very helpful in recommending a glass of wine that paired beautifully with the blackberry elk.
Our entrees were excellent from the presentation to the actual taste. We never felt rushed, even though the restaurant was quite full. We also had dessert; the bourbon pecan creme brulee was wonderful, as was the triple chocolate decadence. It is a good thing we were able to ski that meal off over the next couple of days.
I would (and plan to) return to Hearthstone as often as possible. I have had some wonderful meals in New York, Chicago, and Paris, and this one was comparable to any of those.
