This was my favorite dining experience of my trip. I will take the chili cheese fries and pizza over the 400 dollar dinner we had at another place any day of the week. The service was excellent and the food was very reasonably priced and tasted great. They have a very extensive selection of beers from all over the world.
I wholeheartedly agree with the other moms: This place is great if you have kids. The food is very unimpressive, but you won't care becouse your children will leave you alone so you can eat in peace. Plus, it's super cheap. Just remember to bring a roll of quarters for the arcade games.
Eric's is one of those places where a tourist can really feel like they are part of the town. Our family of 4 (mom, dad, two kids) visited Eric's for dinner one evening during our week in Breckenridge and fell in love with the place. This is the kind of place where you can wear jeans and a sweatshirt, watch some sports, play some arcade games, meet the owner, joke around with the waitress and eat some good food. The menu is enormous with every type of casual food you can think of...pizza, burgers, comfort food, etc. Eric's also has a great variety of arcade games in the lobby to enjoy while you wait.
You don't go to Eric's for super memorable food (it's just average) but the combination of atmosphere, activity, great service and food selection makes it memorable. We will definitely go back when we visit Breck again!
We visited Eric's twice during a Colorado vacation - once for lunch and once for dinner. The food is OK - typical pizza and burgers bar food. What makes the place a winner if you have kids old enough for sports and video games is that they have both in abundance. There are probably ten or so TV's turned to various sporting events, and outside the restaurant they have a dozen or so video games. With two boys in our family (eleven and nine), that made the place a good stop. If they had not been with us, it would have been just an OK stop.
My four boys and I had lunch at Eric's while shopping in Breckenridge. Although we had a 20 minute wait, that wasn't a problem considering the amount of pinball machines, electronic skeeball and other vintage arcade games available. Once we were seated, the boys were happy to order pizza and wings while Mom had Philly Cheesesteak soup and a salad. The food and service were very good and the atmosphere literally a boy's dream...multiple televisions broadcasting sporting events. I would recommend Eric's to friends even if they weren't travelling with a herd of boys.
