The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Love the convenience of the shuttle around town and everyone was very friendly. Must be the mountain air! I would reccomend this place to anyone looking for a first class experience.

The staff was super helpful. We shipped our skis and the manager secured them in his office until we arrived although he offered to place them in our unit too! The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the facilities are more than well maintained. Great location to the slopes and to town. Can't be beat!

We stayed here Monday through Friday in early March. I honestly cannot think of a single thing wrong with this hotel. It was an enjoyable stay, and we most likely will stay here again on next year's subsequent trip.

Check in was a breeze, we received a great orientation of the hotel, it's surrounding grounds, as well as a good place to eat nearby (starving after our 6 AM flight. ;o)). The front staff were very friendly and informative.

The one bedroom was spacious and provided plenty to fit our needs. Initially, I was annoyed that the air conditioner did not work, but they do have it operable in the winter (open the windoss, duh, lol)! The building and rooms are well heated, most likely you will keep at least a draft circulating.

The ski lockers are next to the elevator and very convenient for storage. Do not waste your time storing at the rental location, that place is chaos in the morning and around 3:30-4PM. We did not utilize the pool, but heard it was great. We did try out the jacuzzi on the back porch. After a long day of skiing, trust me, it's worth it!!

The resort is within walking distance of the gondola as well as City Market (basically a Kroger grocery store). It is also nearby downtown and main street (shops, Downstairs at Eric's, etc.). Finally, they provide complementary shuttle service anywhere you need. I don't think we had to ever wait more than 7-8 minutes (and that was during peak busy times). Kudos to Breckenridge for being so eco friendly!

In conclusion, stay here when you ski at Breckenridge. You won't be disappointed!! ;o)

We just returned from 5 nights at MTL in Breck. We typically ski 3 weeks per winter at many different resorts so we have a wide basis for comparison. MTL is a beautiful property in a great ski-in location. The 2 bed 2 bath building 1 unit was big, in great condition with superior bedding and lots of storage. It looked brand new although we were told it is not.

The free shuttle vans take you quickly to the gondola in the morning. In the afternoon the 4 o'clock trail skis right by the complex back door. The shuttle vans efficiently take you all over town at night. You can leave your car in the underground heated garage without ever needing to take it out.

FYI: hotels.com had a price much, much less than the 20% "discount" offered by Vail Resorts to Epic Pass holders!

Room Tip: ski trail returns you to back of Building 1.

We visited Mountain Thunder during spring break 2014 and had the best time ever and Mountain Thunder by far has been the best property we have ever stayed at in all of our travels. The location is great, on street level close to shops and main street and a 2 minute or free shuttle ride to the gondola. The shuttle drove us the few blocks to the grocery store and we had lunch in the condo each day and it was great since it is a ski in property we would ski right to the condo from peak 8. Initially we had issues with our ski rental, we paid in advance but we did not complete the online registration since we wanted the kids to be fitted and they ran out of skis to rent. Jonathan, the GM at Mountain Thunder completely went above and beyond to help us out. He contacted them and arranged for us to have skis delivered the next morning at 8:00am and they brought several sizes for us to chose from and we were on our way. The free shuttle bus service was amazing, we never waited more than a few minutes and it does not matter how close you need to go, they will take you. The property is very quiet and the view is amazing, we overlooked the ski slopes and snow covered trees. After skiing, we would use the hot tub and relax before dinner and hitting main street for some shopping and strolling down lighted up trees and shops, feels like Christmas even though it was March. The condo has a list of restaurants and many of them provide delivery through a third party, we took advantage of this twice. The restaurants tend to get really busy during spring break and many do not offer reservations so we decided to eat in early then go to main to walk around so that we could get in early. The property has movies available to rent which we did and snuggled by the fire place. Been to many places for vacation and have to say this was one of the best trips ever. So much to do and so relaxing too. We went on a snow mobile tour, my 15 year old was able to ride by himself and my 9 year old went on back of daddy's snow mobile. We also took the free bus to Keystone and did the tubing, kids said it was fun. Beware though that depending on what time of year you go, the bus sometimes does not come if they close the swan bridge. We were stranded in Keystone due to the bus being cancelled and luckily was able to get on a different route but it took 2 plus hours and was a bit scary on the icy roads. If you plan on taking the city bus, make sure the road conditions are good. Next time, we have no need to go to Keystone as Breckenridge and Mountain Thunder have it ALL!!!! We are already planning on going back next spring break. Have fun!!!!

Room Tip: We stayed in the back with view of the ski slopes, we did not request this room but we did get very...

Loved the Mountain Thunder Lodge! My husband, myself and our son had a two bedroom, 2 bath condo with kitchen unit and livingroom. The unit was clean and comfortable and all of the staff could not have been nicer or more accomodating. The lodge is a close walk to the gondola which takes you to the ski lifts and an easy walk to town. If walking is not your thing then take the convenient shuttle provided by the Lodge. The drivers are prompt and friendly and will take you anywhere in town you need or wish to go. This is a "ski back to" property which is great at the end of a full day of skiing. This is our first visit to Breckenridge and Mountain Thunder Lodge and we are already making plans to stay again next winter.

Room Tip: Tell the reservations people what you need and they will find the perfect room for you. All rooms h...

Great location, near town and gondola with easy return after skiing. Heated pool and hot tubs feel wonderful at the end of a ski day. Rooms very nicely furnished and maintained. Very friendly staff and the guests too all seem very happy and friendly.
