“Beautiful photo ops”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

We loved the scenery and were able to get out frequently to take photos. Did this on a Sunday afternoon, off season. Not sure if we would have been able to do so during busy times,as there are only a few places for a car to park , and some stops only fit 1 or 2 cars at a time. Must be a careful driver, as it can get tight in some locations where 2 cars may not fit on the roadway at the same time. Some very large potholes were also there to dodge,or drive through slowly. Definitely would not attempt on a rainy of snowy day. There is an outhouse partway through, where there are also signs posted that you are at the continental divide...nice photo op.

“Gorgeous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

Beautiful road to take across the Boreas Pass, especially when the aspens are turning. Stunning any time but especially then. It can be a little scary, because it's narrow, dirt, and a long way down on the cliff side. But tons of cars drive it, and people are very cognizant of the road. Very do-able.

“Color Drive”

Absolutely beautiful drive.
The road isn't paved and there are some potholes but if you pay attention you're just fine.
We also enjoyed getting out at the top and taking pictures at the continental divide. Very cool experience.

“Glorious Boreas Pass”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

A great dirt road, but as on only slight grades as it used to be an old railroad can be traversed with care in a small automobile. Super views and interesting old railroad artifacts en route.

“Beautiful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

Sitting in the free bus (Black Route) without worrying about the road after snow gave us the freedom to watch and point any scenery we enjoyed.
