“Geat location and Accommodations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

We were impressed with the room and it's location. We could walk easily to the ski rental in our building and then two steps to the lockers. The locker room had a door that was 12 steps from the ski lift. After skiing for awhile we returned home to eat and sit in the hot tub at the edge of the lifts and watch the skiiers come down the run. Then we dressed to ski until the end of the day. Awesome! The kitchen was well equipped and we got a DVD from the desk and chilled in the evening. When we wanted to go in town, a quick call for a shuttle and it was there almost before we could get down stairs. When we needed a ride home, it arrived just as fast. No driving was needed the entire stay. Awesome!!! The front desk was extrememly helpful with every need as well.

Though would love to keep this place a secret. Love the location and convenience. Easy access to Gondola and with Peak 6 coming next year this will be the spot to be in. Nice rooms and a great cleaning service.

Room Tip: We had a corner suite and it was very quiet and got lots of sun.

Very nice accommodations Great location right at the base of Peak 7. Right on the gondola to Peak 8 and into town. Clean and comfortable. High end with good, not great service and staff. The front desk people were always nice and so was the head of housecleaning. Great ski locker area. Free shuttle service pretty much anywhere you want to go in and around town and they will pick you up to bring you back also. Indoor parking.

I knocked off a star, and I'm definitely being picky, because we had a mediocre view and a few silly nonsense things wrong. First, there was a light out above the dining room table that took them three days to fix. I ended up getting a light bulb from the head housekeeper and changing it myself. Second, the exhaust fan in the second bathroom was broke and never got fixed. Third, the maid had the impeccable timing to arrive almost exactly at the same time as when we got back to the room from skiing all day. It's four o'clock. We were gone all day. I want to relax a little and then get ready for dinner. I want the room cleaned by then. We turned the service away two days. On another day the maid left cleaning rags in the bathroom.

Remember that Peak 7 is only Blue runs and probably a little too tough for most beginners. Stay somewhere at the base of Peak 9 or 10 if you are just starting off.

Love, love, love the location, location, location!!! If you want the MOST convenient ski-in/ski-out, stay here. If you want a beautiful, clean, modern place to stay, stay here. If you want a helpful staff and a friendly, more-than-effiencient shuttle service to take you anywhere you want to go in Breckenridge, STAY HERE!!!!!! As I said, we loved, loved, loved our time here!! Is that "crystal clear"?? :-)

Room Tip: We found it very, very quiet, and we were here during the peak skiing season.

Perfect for families. Our room was new and beautiful and very clean. The staff was incredibly helpful with everything. A little market, cafe and 24 hour gym would have made it perfect but it was still a terrific experience. We stayed for a full week. The access to the mountain was as good as it gets!

For starters we booked this lodge because of it LOCATION. We are happy to report Crystal Peak Lodge was everything is was advertised and the location didn't disappoint us! My husband and I have been traveling to the Colorado mountains for yearly ski trip for many years. I write this review comparing Crystal Peak Lodge to the other places and accommodations we have stayed in the past.
Exterior: Pro: For a 5 year old building it is very clean and well maintained. The front of the building faces Ski Hill Road and over-looks Breckenridge. The rear of the building over-looks Peak 7 and ski slopes. The 6 person (Independence) Super Chair lift and (BreckConnect) Gondola are within steps from Crystal Peak Lodge. Con: Gondola does not run after 5pm from Peak 7 to Peak 8 (this is where you would go to enjoy the other amenities that sister lodge--One Ski Hill Place provides).
Lobby & Check-in/out: Pro: Upon seeing the "Crystal Peak Lodge" sign you will find a circle drive that allows for parking while checking in. The check-in desk was located to your right after entering the building. We found all staff to be very warm, helpful and friendly. The whole check-in process took less then 15minutes. The Lobby was up a flight of stairs to a grand area with picturesque views of the slopes.
Parking Garage: Was located on the right side of the building. The garage was safe, secure and proved to have easy assess in and out with the swipe of your room card.
Interior of Lodge: Was Warm, Cozy, and Beatifully decorated. The gym, sana and outdoor hot tubs are located to the left of the lobby. Did provide plenty of towels to use at the hot tube area. The Ski Rental and Lift ticket office is located to the right of the lobby. This is very convenient if you are traveling with small children. Con: If you have children that like to swim -- no pool here. You will have to visit their sister property One Ski Hill Place for that.
Interior of room 7406: I have included pictures of the living, master and kitchen. This is a two bedroom ( one king and one queen), two bath condo. A gas burning fire place really keep the condo toasty warm. The balcony over-looks the town of Breckenridge and Breck Connect Gondola. This unit does have a washer and drier. If you do more than one load of clothes you will need to ask housekeeping for more detergent. Cons: The owners could invest in better mattres for beds.
We are so happy that we decided to spend a little more $$$ this year for our annual ski trip to stay at Crystal Peak Lodge. My husband and I agree that the location made all the difference for us. Thank you Crystal Peak for a truely, lovely stay.

Room Tip: Room numbers ending in an even numbered rooms face the town of Breckenridge. Room numbers ending in...

Crystal Peak Lodge was an excellent place to call home for two weeks. Besides TRUE ski- in/ ski out, every need was met 24/7. Kudos to Michelle Lyman, Patrick MacKenzie and Beth who could not have been more accommodating. One phone call and our needs were met. The shuttle service crew was also spectacular and enabled us to get anywhere in town as well as return to Crystal Peak Lodge.

Room Tip: Great views of Peak 7
