We had a friend getting married In Longmont CO, and she suggested we stay in Boulder because of all the stuff to do. It was a little hard to find the hotel the first time because the road it is on is right next to a busy road and getting to the entrance was confusing.The lobby was humid due to the pool being right there, but the staff was helpful. We choose rooms in a building that was seperate from the main building. It was quiet inside the rooms even though it was next to a busy street.
The continetal breakfast was excellent but the restaraunt, Blues and Greens, very dark where the food was served. It is a wonderful place to stop at night and listen to some local bands. We had a great time there and enjoyed great food.
Being a waste free hotel was interesting. You had to seperate some of your trash, but the bins were clearly labeled so this was not hard.
The Outlook is really close to a lot of Boulder attractions. There are plently of walking & biking paths and the staff had a lot of great suggestions for things to do.
Overall it was a pleasant experiance and I would stay again.

We stayed at the Boulder Outlook while visiting a son at CU. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating and the bar has some pretty decent bands. The hotel is very convenient to campus--walking distance to most of it. And the price was well within even the most stringent budget.

On the negative side, while the indoor pool and climbing wall may be great fun for kids, the overwhelming smell of chlorine and the overly warm lobby building may really put some people off. That's why we specifically asked for a room not facing the pool.

Our room, which was in the smoking section per our request, was basic. WiFi worked, the shower was hot and the room was clean. And that's about it. We didn't spend much time there since we had a lot to do in Boulder, but if you're looking for a luxury experience, Boulder Outlook isn't for you. If you're content with a great price, really friendly staff and basic accommodations, it'll be just fine.

Stayed here for two nights and had a nice time. The hotel as a nice, funky vibe, with many of the rooms overlooking a central space that has a restaurant with live music playing in the evening, a beautiful pool and sauna, and mini rock climbing. (Try to get one of those rooms).

The whole hotel has a fun atmosphere that lets you know it isn't your typical hotel.

And the bed happened to be very comfortable as well...

Saturday, we went to the Arizona vs. Colorado basketball game at the Coors Event Center in Boulder, CO. We stayed at the Boulder Outlook Hotel across 28th Street (CO Hwy 36) from the Event Center. It was great, we didn't have to mess with event center parking since it is only a two block walk from the hotel. We didn't even have to contend with vehicle traffic because of the walking path that goes from the hotel, under the highway, to the event center. The hotel was spotless and quiet, we stayed on the second floor, our window facing south. The room was large and spacious. The bathroom was nicely tiled and the shower worked perfectly. The king bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room was clean and well appointed, with lots of space. We had made reservations and everything was in order as we have come to expect with this hotel. The "Blues and Greens" restaurant had live entertainment, a blues band, The Young Austin Band from Colorado Springs. The food, burgers, was tasty and the entertainment was top notch, there wasn't a cover on this night.
This hotel is a great place to stay, they even have FREE bicycle rentals, Boulder has many bike paths! It is our first choice when we stay in Boulder. This hotel is the most eco-friendly place to stay.
