“Boulder's Best Bet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2008

My wife and I enjoyed our four-day stay at this motel. We loved the location in a quiet suburb next to trails for walking. Our room was small, but adequate (other rooms we saw were much larger) and very clean. The mattress was good. Our room (101) was next to the entrance and therefore was occasionally noisy (especially when we left our window open for fresh air), but other rooms should be quieter. The continental breakfasts were better than at most motels, with enjoyable fruit, orange juice, English muffins, hard-boiled eggs, and (sometimes) waffles, but with disappointing baked goods. The staff was very helpful. At times I felt we were staying in a European pension instead of an American motel. Prices were reasonable, especially for Boulder. We've tried two other motels in Boulder, but will return to this one on future trips.

This is a very nice place in a great zone. It's just perfect for training in an amazing area, or simply visiting the city. The owners are very affable and the guests are often very good sport people. I loved it!

We were searching for a place for a mini-reunion. What a gem we found. The new owners and manager could not have been more helpful. The rooms were so clean that I wore my white socks and didn't pick up a bit of dirt!! The breakfasts were more than adequate and gave us a chance to meet many travelers from outside the USA, including Olympic teams that were there for altitude training. We did have a couple of special requests and they were handled with great alacrity and care. If you are looking for bright lights and bistros, please go somewhere else. This inn is located in a quiet residentail neighborhood that allows for quiet, hiking, and relaxation. Once you find it you will be surprised how easy it is to connect with Boulder, mountain parks, shopping, good restaurants, etc. Great place for children as there is a playground and many grassy areas and interesting walks.

This is a great place and has great rates. The place has just been renovated and the things done to this place is awesome. The location is great if you need a quiet place and if you want people to know who you are or what you do. I mean people care about you and are proud of Boulder.
I took a great run on the trails next to the Inn and took a tour of the Celestial seasoning tea factory.
This was one of my best stays in America, a paradise of its own.

just stayed one week at this comfortable very clean and beautifully located inn about 10-15 minutes from the center of Boulder.. the peaceful rural/reidential setting is surrounded by trails and small lakes.. the new owner is committed to improving the already fine quality of this inn .. the price was very very reasonable. for a king bed with a fridge and microwave [69$ a night]..

  • Liked — clean ..friendly... reasonable price.. close to boulder.. wonderful peaceful location
  • Disliked — bathroom a bit small

This inn is a bit out on a limb at the edge of a housing estate. Drove straight by originally because it just looked like a block of flats. The property has just changed hands and is in need of updating sooner rather than later. Having said that the chap in charge of everything was very pleasant, gave us good advice as to where to eat (Cafe Blue in the town - excellent) and overall the stay was good. Didn't like being on the ground floor because everyone could look in and the blinds didn't work properly. Clean room and nice bedding, room had fridge, sink, micro etc. Many people stay here for an extended time. Large grounds with play area and stream running through so great for families. Excellent breakfast - one of the best we had during our three week tour. If you're used to staying in good chain hotels/motels this did not quite come up to that level.
