“Yucky!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

This hotel was terrible. It was old, dirty, loud and had the most uncomfortable beds. It is definitely not a good hotel for business. My room had a balcony, which made me feel very unsafe as there was really no barrier between the rooms with balconies. In other words, a person could crawl over their balcony very easily to mine. The location is not so good. I had a view of the foothills, but that was really the only good thing about this hotel. This place is much better suited for college kids.

The location for this hotel is the reason to stay here. There is a decent grocery store; 29th Street Mall and all sorts of reasonably priced restaurants within walking distance. You are also right next to CU, and if you are attending a game it is easy to get there. The down side is everyone else might be attending the game as well.

The room I received had been upgraded. It was rather nice. The bed was new as were the linens and pillows. The room was smallish, as the architecture is showing it's age. It was in the midst of more renovations when I was staying there.

I was not expecting much from this property, but the room renovations made it a comfortable stay, and the front desk was cordial. The hotel was taken over by out of state football fans when I was there. You can hear people opening and closing their rooms if they let the door go it will slam. That is an easy fix for the management to take care of.

It gets above average for the renovations.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the newly renovated rooms.

Dear Sir

Thank you very much for choosing our hotel for your stay and for noticing that we are taking steps to upgrade our hotel. You are correct in mentioning that we are minutes away from the Univeristy of Colorado and also in close proximity to Pear Street and the outdoor 29th Street mall.

In addition, we thank you for informing us about the noisy doors. Rest assured, this concern will be addressed.

Many thanks for your comments and we hope to see you again, should your travels bring you to the Boulder area again.

We thank you for

This hotel is an average hotel that is showing its age. I was here over Thanksgiving for work for a few days and the only nice this was that there is free wifi. The TV is an old box tv that is very fuzzy. The bed was hard to sleep throughout the night and sheets felt like paper.

I would not stay here again.

I have stayed at this location quite often. It is always clean and pleasant and the staff is on the ball. My last visit I was very dissappointed! First of all the housekeeping staff needs to learn how to read. I put a DO NOT DISTURB sign on our door and was RUDELY woken up by a knock on the door with an announcement of "housekkeping". Bad move. Next thing, I must have Wifi. I do a lot of business when Im away from home. I called to verify that the wifi was operating and was told it was. At check in I was told WiFi was down but it should be up soon. Soon to this place meant maybe the next day. I will definitely reconsider my loyalty to this place!!!

This stay was a little different. It was a very nice building, however once you entered the hallway nearing the room things seemed a little strange, and once the door was opened, first off this was a king, not a very large room. Pay close attention to the photos, not all rooms look like the bright rooms displayed in their photos; if you book through a contract service, look at the dark headboard rooms. Not all rooms have a balcony, only the rooms facing the inside area.

That said, the room was comfortable realizing this hotel was once the grand hotel of the area; the bathrooms are a little small, but comfortably manageable. The room was quiet, the staff seemed nice, not overly outgoing, maybe because of the size and the number of guest. We did love the Saturday night Salsa dancing, it was fun and entertaining. Not sure we will stay here again.

Room Tip: Uncertain, maybe ask if you are getting a newer room, or the old contract rooms? The windows could b...

Millennium Harvest House is a nice hotel near downtown Boulder. It's heyday has passed, but the hotel still has some charm to offer. Some upgrades have been implemented - like new beds and furnishings - that make your stay comfortable. But the hotel is still older so you'll find doorways a bit narrower, closets a little smaller. The hotel is a maze of corridors and you will have trouble if you like taking the stairs to your floor since the stairs may not connect all the floors! The outdoor area is older, but a nice open space next to Boulder Creek Trail. I would recommend this hotel if you are okay with some minor flaws.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the gardens and/or Boulder Creek have a nice view.
