“All-around wonderful experience!”

Hotel Boulderado

Sep 16, 2007

I came to the Boulderado after fleeing a budget place elsewhere in Boulder that was beyond awful. The difference was like night and day. They literally "had me at hello." The front desk staff was very pleasant. My room in the annex was a little awkward to get to (you had to go up a level, across a skyway, and then back down again) but they had a bellhop who was very nice.

The room was decorated in a Victorian style which I would never have in my house, but went well with the turn of the last century mood of the place. I've stayed in rooms in Manhattan that were only slightly larger than the bathroom in my room at the Boulderado. There was also a wet bar with fridge, free bottled water, and chocolates at night. Everything was pristine clean and very quiet. My room was behind the elevator but I never heard it.

The room cost more than my employer's per diem rate, but I was glad to bear the extra expense myself to get into this hotel. The location is great, the service is pleasant, and the rooms are beautiful and quiet. .

Just returned from a visit to Boulder and stayed 4 nights at the Boulderado, We had a 1 bedroom suite which is perfect if you have a teenager staying with you--offers a lot of privacy.

The rooms were clean and the bathroom was exeptional with a large window which you could open up for ventilation.
The staff was so helpful and we never needed our rental car.
The food af the Q was delicious-we ate breakfast there twice.
All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel.

As previously mentioned--no elevator so to speak of (a manual one only) but hey, who doesn't need the excercise?
Tis' good to schlepp--burns calories!

We stayed here for 4 nights and were very impressed with the friendly staff, the very clean rooms, and the attention to detail.
We have booked a room again in November.

“Expensive, nicely appointed rooms”

Hotel Boulderado

Jul 9, 2007

We stayed at the Hotel Boulderado for two nights in June. Our room was in the new section next to the open area for the conference rooms. A noisy section during the day and evening but by the time 10:30 rolled around, everything was quiet.

The room was comfortable and extremely clean. Bed linens were crisp and the towels nice and fluffy. The chocolates waiting for us on our first night were a nice touch. Bathroom was large and comfortable enough for the two of us. The second sink right outside the bathroom was also welcome.

The front desk staff was well informed about local restaurants, hiking and outdoors activities and local color. Mostly young, college age people, they all shared enthusiam about living in Boulder and working at the hotel.

My only complaint is the charge of $8.00 per night for parking. You have no choice but to use the valet parking for the hotel and when we arrived late on a Thursday evening, the valet wouldn't give me a straight answer on whether or not self-parking was available should we wish to come and go multiple times. After we finally got an answer (you CANNOT self park your car in the hotel lot) and another valet, everything went smoothly.

For the cost of a room during the summer months, parking should be included. I would be surprised if many of the people staying at the Hotel Boulderado did not have a car.

My organization has held two meetings in the past month at the Hotel Boulderado. The meeting facilites and hotel rooms are superb, the food is great, and the staff are excellent! I would highly reccomend this location to others looking for a unique meeting space in a great location and with highly professional staff.

Our group had dinner at Q's restaurant during both meetings -- the food and staff are excellent!

I would return to this hotel for sightseeing as well -- its a great location!
