“Wonderful Rustic B&B!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

The Alps Boulder Canyon Inn is a beautiful rustic bed and breakfast perfectly situated between the Eldora Mountain Ski area and all of the fun of downtown Boulder. The Magnolia Room we enjoyed was charming and allowed us to enjoy the in-room soaking tub and our own fireplace. The Inn itself is run by a wonderful staff who are conscientious by unimposing and the breakfast there is superb! This is a must if you are planning on staying in the area!

A beautiful alternative to the usual sterility of most hotels. More amenities then I could take advantage of in a single trip. The staff is friendly and accommodating with excellent suggestions for dining and sights and local events. Luxurious linens, fireplaces and oversized tubs in many of the rooms and the large dining area made our family reunion a great communal and individual experience. I would recommend this inn to anyone who wants a memorable stay in a one of a kind establishment. Thanks Alps Staff!

Room Tip: Try the Sunset room ,very romantic.

very nice romantic getaway with beautiful mountain surroundings. friendly and very helpful innkeepers, gave great advice on what there is to do and see in the area.
the breakfast choices were delicious, served in a very nice large rustic room with huge fireplace.
would definitely return here if back in the area.

Absolutely loved the Alps Boulder Canyon Inn. It is situated just a few minutes drive into Boulder Canyon, very pretty area. The atmosphere is lodge like yet elegant. Our room was gorgeous - beautiful fireplace, balcony, stained glass window, very tastefully appointed. The front desk always had a lovely supply of beverages and snacks, everything from fresh peach iced tea to home baked cookies. The breakfast was fabulous and gourmet. Warm, fresh basked scone, omelet to order, fresh fruit. I would highly recommend this inn for anyone who wants the convenience of Boulder yet the feeling of being secluded in the mountains. Would definitely return.

This is the closest thing I can imagine to staying in your great-aunt's turn-of-the-century house - if your great-aunt had wireless Internet access and air-conditioning, It's a beautiful property that has been painstakingly restored/rebuilt. The scrapbook in the lobby shows just how much effort the owners put into making a ramshackle hotel into a showplace. Our room was huge, with French doors leading into a backyard patio. (The doors had secure bolts, so no worries there.). There was a large soaking tub at one end of the room ( which we personally found a little extraneous, as there was already a perfectly nice bath), a very comfortable bed, an in-room sound system ( which you could turn off if you didn't want ambient music), and a fireplace. Breakfast was included in the room price and featured, among other things, the lightest, best scones I have ever had. The inn is located just outside the main part of town with hiking trails right next door. The staff is very helpful, and the resident dog is sweet and welcoming as well. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: The hotel wasn't fully booked when we stayed, so they upgraded our room without our asking.

We stopped here later in the evening unexpectedly, without reservations and not familiar with the area. We were able to get their last vacancy at what I believe was a great price, especially for a bed & breakfast. The place is older but quaint and it smelled like my Grama's house at holiday time (a good thing!) The room was huge, comfy and the bath amenities were nice. I wished we had more time to spend another night or two here and enjoy the different covered porch areas with seating and take in that smell of pine from the mountains. Breakfast was good and was served from 8 AM to 9:30 AM. There was a nice coffee/tea/juice bar available to guests and cookies at the check-in area. Jeanene, the owner?, was extremely helpful with maps and info about the area. Please note there is no cell service in the canyon area. This is either a good or bad thing depending on how you roll. Would definately stay here again at the right price.

Before we even arrived, we were impressed with how helpful and nice everyone at The Alps was when we inquired about restaurants and things to do in the Boulder area. After we arrived, we knew for sure we had made a great selection as to where to stay. We couldn't help but be impressed by the large fireplace when we first walked in, and our welcome was as warm as the fresh homemade cookies we enjoyed. Our room was amazing, from the gorgeous mission style furniture to the jacuzzi and the warm fireplace to the relaxing in-room music. Oh, and the key lime pie in the evening was superb! One of the best things during our stay, however, was the surprise of having a full breakfast prepared just for us since we had to leave before the normal serving time. We really appreciated and enjoyed the best-ever scones and quiche before heading out to the mountains! To top off everything, they even printed off recipes for us to take home to "try" and replicate. We're sure nothing will taste as good here in Missouri, though, without the service and atmosphere provided by The Alps Boulder Canyon Inn. --Gary and Laura
