I had a fantastic stay at the St Julien Hotel and Spa on a business trip in July. The staff was attentive from check in to check out and I would definitely stay there again my next time in Boulder.
I had a few friends also staying at the hotel so I was able to check out a variety of rooms. The room I was staying in was handicapped accessible, so it was very roomy and there was a lot of space to spread out. I had a nice veranda overlooking the courtyard and it was the perfect place to read and relax. Since I did have a handicapped room, I did not have the separate shower and soaking tub. If I had to book it again, I think I would prefer to have the separate tub. Although, all of my friends with the larger bathroom did not have the veranda, while others who had the handicapped bath did have one.
I had an issue with my shower one morning and the staff arrived to my room within minutes to show me how to work it. They had a turndown service every night (complete with chocolate cookies on the bed and soothing music). The spa robes and slippers were a nice touch. Just a warning - the beds are VERY soft, so those with back problems might have some issues.
They had some other nice amenities including free bike rental and concierge service (he gave us some good tips on where to eat, the food in Boulder is great). I did have the opportunity to have a few drinks at the hotel bar, which were very reasonably priced. They also have a popular Happy Hour on Friday evenings.
I did not have the time to use the spa - although, I did think it was a little overpriced ($110 for a massage, $100 for a cocktail pedicure).
As far as the business end is concerned, they had nice meeting facilities. They also had free high speed internet in each of the rooms that was actually high speed!
I would definitely stay at the St Julien again for its great location and the excellent customer service at the hotel.
